The crash site is in Co Tyrone, a couple of miles from Donaghmore.

I have placed a few plaques around Ulster, but this is the first one which has been smashed up. The farmer has shown his disgust and has put a marker stone in the field where the crash had taken place. I just do not understand why. I was told that the local residents were happy to have the crash site marked.

I agree with the general consensus about the state of channel aircraft. Its very unlikely, that there is anything mechanical worth recovering.

However, the main thing still left in the channel, are the airmen who went down with some of the aircraft. No matter the state of their aircraft after so many years in sea water, those men deserves to be recovered, or at the very least found.

I most certainly agree with your sentiments. As I have relatives still missing. They all should be found if possible and given a final marked resting place.

Some Irish do not respect British Emblems especially on their soil. I will not impugn, judge or fault them for that. Some have a deep resentment for most things British. I do not think it is justifiable but it may play a part in the defacing of your memorials.

I cast the plaque from the aircraft parts so it is just a basic one just information. I will try to attach a picture.
