I think XX894 is u/s but the other Bucc is OK however I have no idea if it will run.
P.S. Hows your F3 coming on Scott ?
Hi David
Did you get any photos ?
Also did they have the APU working again on the Vulcan ?
The VC10 and 3 jags also turned up at wings and strings today.
Anyone want to know what it was,
Well it was a security light at the house behind us.
Hi
Yes I will start promoting my jets forum.
The older UK jets are still very good to watch and one of the best is the Bucc only saw one fly once so I would love it if XX885 makes it onto the airshows.
Here is a Bucc photo taken by my Dad at RIAT 03
No that one never got used but their were 3 that got nicked.
Yeah we have a few every summer and their always a good laugh.
Hopefully trying out some of the ideas here will make it a bit more secure.
Thanks for the ideas everyone.
I accept that no matter what you do people will nick photos from websites, forums etc however if the photos have a copyright notice on them people will know who did them to start with.
The thing is I posted 3 photos to another forum a while back someone nicked them added them to their site then I got told off by the moderators of them forum my photos were stolen from and when I tried to explain my case i got banned for “being insubordinate to the webmaster and stealing content from a members site”.
Thats just what I had in mind RobAnt.
Not sure how much would be donated but every little helps.
How much would it cost to repaint XM607.
Would they not be able to get donations at this years airshow.
Anyone interested in preserving old Hawks, Jags, Tornados, Tristars?
I have said several times on here that we need to start preserving the types you mention now. Its no good waiting 10-20 years and then when their are only a few left asking what went wrong it will all be to late.
Also on the Classic jet theme I did set up a forum but its gone a bit dead so I’m hoping it picks back up.
Its going to be nice to see the Gannet flying again who knows long term it could be 3 over in the UK.
As for the Sea Hawk their is someone who wants to gt a Sea Hawk flying on the civil register and I believe they might be making an offer for it later this year.
Her end caps need replacing and hopefully later in the year the end caps from XM655 at Wellesbourne will be donated to XM607.
Er why what about XM655 why wont it need the end caps ?
How many Vanguard’s are their left and could any others have their engines run again ?
