    Well done to everyone who has worked hard to get XX894 ground running 🙂

    Just an idea but would it be possible to sell rides in the back seat when you do the taxi runs ?

    Just curious, would she be eligble for Lottery funding if something along the lines of the vulcan to flight plan could be offered?

    Im sure that the lottery said that funding XH558 was a one off, so little chance of them paying for a Shack.

    Just as an example of Vulcans in preservation (excluding 558), Two of them have a supporters club, would one work for a Victor?

    Well I would join and I know loads of others who would, so yes I think a supporters club would work.

    I agree the cost does seem rather hight but I’m just going on the info in todays Daily Mail.

    If this does happen however lets hope the Shackleton ain’t dismantled until the funds to put it back together are available.

    It would be very costly to get it in back in any sort of safe condition. Sadly the project appeared to lack direction after one the leading chaps died a few years ago and it has drifted since then.

    Just how far away from being in safe condition is XM603 and what sort of work would have been needed to get it back in safe condition ?

    Also when was the very last engine run on XM603 and also was the rummors that the people at Woodford wanted to fly XM603 back in the late 80’s early 90’s true ?

    Peter if your talking about XM603 then it was doing engine run’s as late as August 2002 and im sure it had electrical power up’s until a few months ago.

    XJ823 is looking very good well done to all who worked on the repaint.

    XM594 Newark do a wonderful job with her open days and running her apu etc

    I could be wrong but I thought they dont run the APU or other systems on
    XM594 anymore, anyway its in good condtion and you can still get in the cockpit.

    XM606 Oh the possibilities she could be made taxiable?

    I doubt XM606 could ever be made taxiable as its in rather poor condtion and is also missing a few bits and bobs.

    XM605 however is in good condtion and cold be made taxiable but it’s a very very very long shot that it will happen, in fact a couple of people (who know what they are doing and talking about) have looked at XM605 and claim it could even be rebuilt to fly, it will of course never happen but it is in good enough condtion.
