From a google search , is this DV202, or is there more than one Lancaster in the water near there?

Been watching it when ever i can but unfortunately our sky signal isnt great on that channel at times ! Its an interesting programme at times and would make you think of taking a trip just for a spin in some of those lovely old birds !:diablo:

See they have an electra on the go as well, and did any see the Lufthansa insignia under the cockpit of one of their C-46’s ?

Have to echo what has been said in the last few posts, particularily the comments of Andy and Bruce.

Can we try and remember that this is a tragedy where people have died and others have been seriously, perhaps fatally, injured. Life is all too short and precious and their loss of so many is surely enough for us to concentrate on at the moment.

Completely horrified to hear of this accident. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who have died and the people who have been injured.

The Professionals ; Turned an normal teenager into a Capri fanatic !

The Avengers/New Avengers ; Made me glad I was a Capri fanatic and not into Triumph Tr7’s or Dollys !! By god was Joanne a babe or what ????

All Creatures Great and Small ; A world I wished I had live in

Band of Brothers ; Surely one of the best TV dramas about WW2 ?

The World at War ; Cant put it into words But the summary at the end of the series says it all.

Edit: just found this site http://www.televisiontunes.com/a-theme-songs.html

When i think of it, Tesco have a Facebook page, and while it took some time they eventually responded to people who were annoyed by their attitude to the News of the World affair.

Might be an idea to ask a few questions there, Give them a chance to reply and get their responses out in public?

Well done Tesco ! £3.4 BILLION profit, with a £700million debt reduction as well So roughly, I think I have the zero’s right, that is £2,000,000 out of £4,200,000,000….. And how much of that £2 million was re-claimable as a write off against tax I wonder? I know business is there to make profit for their owners , but really, less than £2million in donations????

I would think though that is some some local level, petty minded, middle management, upstart who doesnt know his butt end from his elbow. Surely no normal, publicity conscious, customer goodwill dependant , business would sanction such a policy?

Reckon this will end up as one of those “horrified senior management sort out local managers unsanctioned actions with a donation” stories…as long as someone does publish it !!!

Just a thought but Avard wouldnt be a very common name ? I only see two lised on the CWGC site but neither appear to fit the bill. Would it be possible to trace where he/she served and if RAF what squadron?

Havent responded before but i cant beleive some of the rubbish i am hearing on TV.

So why are batton rounds and watercannon ok over here but not in London?

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/16-police-officers-hurt-amid-belfast-riots-2312967.html

Let me say that, yes, i would support people’s right to protest. But the problem is when others, hell bent on creating trouble, jump in and use such an event as an excuse for the sort of madness we have seen over the past few days. We have seen it happen all too often. I would quarantee that 99.9% of those who went on a stealing, looting, burning spree didnt give two damns about anyone being shot or even understand the meaning of the word “injustice” so often bandied about as an excuse for selfish, mindless behaviour.

Like here, I reckon it is time for a serious look at the way justice works, or rather doesnt work. Taking part in a criminal act should result in a free weekend away in a government funded hotel , with free playstations, DVDs, etc. Once someone is definately quilty and i mean definate, If i had my way they would end up in Spike Island, run like a WW2 POW camp : basic food, minimal facilities and no drugs or mobile phones !
