The A321 is order is strange,it would make sense if it was related to BMED,but if it’s a bmi only decision then i can’t understand the phasing out of the original A321’s in the first place:confused:

Oh i see,so if QR decide to replace A330-200’s it will be with 787’s rather than A350’s:confused: whilst the A350’s being a bit larger will replace A330-300’s and A340’s in QR’s fleet, assuming that they replace the A330 fleet and not just expand the fleet

Cheers sam,it appears it’s on an island off the coast of china, hence the different look the standard japanese coast line, the airport is or was mainly used for training, with no air bridges,a shame though,it could almost rival SXM for beauty, although no quite the same proximity….UA are smokers too, very un-american:D 😉

Thanks for clearing up the Qatar/UFO order, now to get my head round why they would want both the 787 & A350 when i assume QR would have to wait to near enough when the A350 comes out to get their hands on a 787:confused:

I hope the aircraft is better than the show, it was very painful to watch!,thought the comment of one of the boeing management about his longest flight being 18hrs on a slow airbus!,haha airbus were the only ones at the time capable of doing such a flight(Singapore-NYC),oh and the nose section flight deck windows are horrible on the 787,and did anyone notice the QATAR tail in the run down of customers,i can’t find any details about this order!?

I have a D80 & a D50 and i can say that if you want to take good quality pictures it’s extremely easy with the D80,one or two looks through the relevant settings page in the manual & your away,i use a sigma 70-300 apo lens & it does bare sharper images than the standard nikon equivlant,it’s huge value for money too at €250(~£160?),i got my D80 body off ebay from one of the hong kong sellers(really good value),plus they gurantee no tax from the UK.

Does anybody else notice a real lack of activity from european airlines in terms of orders at this show, any so far have been very modest indeed & it seems that the asian & middle east airlines seem to grabbing all the headlines,to the casual observer who hears all about how these airlines are going to pioneer comfort with there brand spanking new aircraft, who are they goin to want to fly?

I was wondering about a DXB stopover too,i was in DUS two weeks ago so whilst waiting to check in i went up to the EK ticket desk, and the very nice chap behind the desk said that EK offer a two day stop over on each leg for free,so i have a bit of flexibility,so i plan on having one or two nites in dubai,i’m a bit concerned about the 50 degree day time temperatures though! ouch!!
