Great Thanks
It’s getting beyond the joke at this stage,if anybody caught RTE news at six,the Irish Aviation Authority spokes person nearly had the news reader falling asleep with his awful dyre tone of voice, and mentioning terms that the regular viewer wouldnt understand-CAT 2 means nothing to them, most probably wondered why he was talking about something furry with four legs!
From looking at google earth,it would look to be possible to walk from T5 to the field for 09L,however i cant tell the situation with footpaths etc if any?,somebody is hopefully gona be kind enough to do some exploring…..:D
Oh dear,DYB was pretty new & they went & did that, bucket & spade i would have thought was essential recovery equipment!
Movement!
Caught the big fella leaving for ZRH,alot of dust on the runway at dub was kicked up due the quarry on the other side of the fence, this is something the airport will have to look at,sand ingested into the engines over time cant be good for the engine components:

It was in Dublin for a crew rest area to be fitted in the lower deck, been at DUB since january the 3rd.
Thanks for the heads up three-forty;)
Thanks guys,
in fairness the Futura did take a slightly longer take-off run, usually aircraft are airborne by E6.
Thanks Lads,as it happens that flight was on its way to KEF,as FGL9110.I was thinking that this was perhaps on its way over to america for lease, which is quite a common occurence with Futura aircraft, but it seems that this a regualr flight, thanks for clearing that up;)
I know i was heading up to the airport thinkin there’s going to be nothing worth a photo,so i was nicely surprised to see it!,i’m blaming lufthansa for not using it everyday to DUB as my reason for the time taken to catch it:p 😀
Thanks for answering my query;)
Thanks for taking the time to post your trip reports. How did you find the language problem in Japan?,is it easy to get about,i.e. buses & trains?,i was doing some research into travelling around japan & i was put off by the language barrier,is western food easy to find in japan?,and finally is it as expensive as i’ve read on the internet?
Thanks
Great shots there,i was at myrtle avenue myself that day, very cold it was too, couldnt feel my toes after 6 hrs!
Thanks Andrew,i was considering staying at home, but those sort of angles would be sufficient for myself, nice weather too,so i’ll position myself around myrtle avenue,i’d really like to get some photos of Air New Zealand & Qantas.
Thanks for the advice;)
90 seconds between arrivals not enough no!?:D 😉
Good stuff,i found the price a bit steep if your were not staying for the spotting, but if you are then it’s worth every penny, the novelty of a CX 744 lashing past your window at 5.30am will never get old!
The hotel rooms themselves are a bit on the worn side, beds are very good, the breakfast is very good too.
