If i read the quote right your asking if the “evidence” of their “activities” would stand up to being scrutinised im guessing by the government or security forces?
Now whilst the police say things on the people mentioned and the rest to a degree lets liken it to the tip of an iceberg as the police dont want to be showing all the cards as then in the future this could jepordise such people being put away etc. So no matter what you hear this is only about 1/10th of what is known generally.
For example take the Robert McCartnery Murder. Everyone here knows who did it on the Catholic side and anyone with a security insight knows who did it as well. The media cant report this because there is no evidence and no one will say who everyone knows who did it!! The police know but lack hard evidence to convict said person(s) and the IRA decided to remove all evidence from the scene before the police arrived.
The evidence held on Sinn Fein, whilst i do not know what it is, is in bulk quantity and could easily convict the main Sinn Fein members. Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness have admitted they were/are in the IRA on its “rulling council” and this could very easily land them in prision if it wernt for them being on the political scene.
The Northern Bank raid was the IRA, no doubt about it and the IMC doesnt only rely on what the Police and Security Services say either so it has made its own unbaised mind up that the IRA are involved. An ex Sinn Fein counciler was found with month from the raid!!!
Comparing terrorism over here to the ABu Hamza’s of the world isnt comparing like for like as over here the police know for a extremly large part what they are all up to in detail otherwise several high profile people would have been murdered by the IRA by now!!!! The UK Government have evidence on them but probably not near the amount collected on Sinn Fein or IRA members.
