The MPs dont need to be convicted as for years they have got away from jail sentances of being members of the IRA as they freely admit they were members.

Too much evidence known by police to point fingers at them knowing about it before hand too and thats not some media guff government to cover them cutting allowances.

What effect exactly are they aiming the ‘BMW’ part at? If anything, it is the FAA saying their rules are flawd. FAA and FARS regulations do not prohibit a 747 continuing its flight with only 3 engines.
This is just the FAA blowing wind.

Yes but the fact they are investigating it when their operational procedures allow it could potential scare monger over the 747 which no doubt a few us newspapers did and cashed in on. Im sure the guys who Boeing are friendly with in congress arnt liking the FAA right now!

Further Development:

The FAA are investigating the original incident and have enlisted the CAA to help them. They could take action against BA if they find that they operated irresponsibly and dangerously.

Mmm wouldnt saying this wasnt legal or whatever be a bit of a stab at Boeing saying there planes arnt as safe as well as damaging BA a bit?

Surly this would create a more pro Airbus climate airlines might fall into if the FAA indicate that the 747 in question might not have been “air worthy”?
