Will this not be one of the most significant airports ryanair will operate into given it is only 1 mile from the Terminal to City Centre? Can any other Ryanair airport beat this??
I think they will not be using the main terminal. They will redevelop or just use portacabin type airport structure (McAvoy Group provided to Dublin Airport recently and Ryanair is a long term customer of them). There is loads of space available for such a structure at the old terminal, with the portacabin route being the cheapest given the old terminal is currently a freight depot.
Maybe Ryanair are only going to come in if they expand the runway threshold area. This would be a very good bargaining tool to use to get their planning approval as it will be seen as guarenteed local investment rather than some business plan on paper.
AA went nearly bankrupt and they have an exclusive contract with boeing to buy only boeing jets at best price.
Are Jungle Jets made in Everett now?
hijacked i tell you hijacked!
Do i really have to move this to GD, will no one add to the discussion? :dev2:

That is QUITE enough gents. black_star and Agent K check your private messages.
Welcome to the forum.
I have moved the post up here as it is more appropriate up here. You were not to know so no harm done.
in all seriousness for a second… he clearly has lots of drive and self-belief. Surely he could do worse than put himself forward for “The Apprentice” ?
If your already been in the media in any format other than in background of a crowd shot etc your not considered. We have been filmed several times for BBC and i was denied my application for apprentice based on this.
Ok, i surpose you would be right, but if they offered me a choise between a 2 planes and thta was one of them, i’d take the other. I think my dream plane to fly would be one of the following, 737-800, 777-300, 787-900 and possibly the a340-600. Out of all of them, i think i’d want to fly the 787-900.
Most pilots would be exceptionally lucky to get into a plane with two engines at the very begining. That applies especially if you do it the cheaper way which is to do it at your own pace somewhere local.
Your only chance to get into any airline with turbofan engines is to go to somewhere like CTC or OAT but they know how much their name is worth (no differences in training) and that gets alot of new recruits into likes of bmi and ba allbeit at the lowest level.
Its a bit confusing with all these ***star usernames with Star Alliance avatars! I wouldn’t be surprised if someone wanted to copy an upstanding member of our community such as Elgan:dev2: :diablo:
This whole thing smells of easyJet fishing for a very very low price order. I mean what airline hires aircraft designers!!!!
I thought it was a brilliant marketing tool to use as the farmer can still use the land for crops and get extra income. Belfast International has a lot of fields on approaches!
Fair play to whoever created the actual image on the ground. It must be hard to get it perfect without being able to have a birds eye view constantly.
Whilst I could go on about this subject for a while, we do need to keep this topic on a commerical aviation theme or i will sadly have to move it to GD!
So anything about Martin Halstead being involved in Commerical Aviation or Alpha One Airways can be discussed. Anything else needs to find its way to the GD forum….
ohh a delboy “peckham Springwater” concept…..
no income tax, no VAT, no money back, no guarentee
Maybe that is the Alpha One ethos? lol
Since he is trying to get into every branch Branson tried, the next logical step would be A1 Mobile, A1 Cola, A1 radio or A1 trains. Also, if I am not mistaken in the past Virgin had a utility company that did not work (correct me if I’m wrong) so perhaps A1 can make it work? 😀
LOL No doubt he is probably buying up cheap ASDA cola and rebranding it with new “AlphaCola” labels….
[legal]of course i have no proof of this and its just personal speculation[/legal]
I agree, I didn’t expect anything. However there is an article in the Sunday Times travel section which says that an airline is obligated to return the tax element and charges because if you do not travel how can these charges apply. I don’t know if its legally binding. When I get home I will dig it out as I kept the article
Yes you can reclaim tax I have several times done so with Flybe now. They are obliged to take administration costs out of this. I have been left with under £1 from £20 tax normally with flybe which at least is something i guess!
