Hi Andrew,
Well it’s on its way – I posted it yesterday. But when you say their postal system is nowhere as good as Royal Mail, then it must be really really bad as two weeks ago I was down at my main PO here in Hungerford complaining about a chequebook that was sent to me but never arrived and a CV I had posted to Basingstoke never arrived at its destination either. Failing all else if I don’t hear anything by friday I will try and call them:confused:Cheers
Keith (OG)
My businessgas suffered from Royal Mail alot as they are really bad at sending post. Anything important i send via the DX.
Good luck sending a registered letter to Dublin and ensuring any proof of delivery.
I have tried to do it before but their postal system is no where near as good as Royal Mail.
Mind you, you can send a letter with just someones name, country and basic area description and it will get there!!
I agree with Paul also. To do something like this will just launch a PR war from Ryanair and I would have thought that was not a great thing as will just take up time and money.
Also Ryanair could probably quite eaisly come into LBA on Jet2s routes and start a “turf war” if provoked enough. I am confident their pricing could be cheaper than Jet2s….
Last time i was on a flight where they did this the crew were explaining to passengers that it was for aircraft balance for take-off and landing and i have also heard its something to do with fuel saving if more weight is distributed around the C.O.G of the aircraft.
I dont think ive been on a Ryanair flight that didnt have this. Only exception was one STN-DUB where we were full. They used the tray tables to “rope it off”
I bet its because the cabin crew want to be able to chat without customers over hearing them lol!
Tststs! I guess I can remember times when being drunk etc etc didn’t cause some pompous flight crews to go into “security” frenzy mode instead of telling the idiot to shut up. All that efforts and ressources! Police, courts, lawyers – the system really feeds itself. And didn’t know airliners have shackles aboard!
Its common practice for most service industries with any form of security risk/theme to have handcuffs.
You shoplift at any major UK store and if you resist the security guards will cuff you and take you their own inhouse cells. Virgin and HMV are biggest user of inhouse cells in the UK…
At all UK events we, event security, carry restraint kits or for festivals etc handcuffs. We will use them whenever we need to or some just for the fun of it!
There is indeed a small conference dedicated to supply airlines with restraint kits which is open to the public.
Even the train and bus company drivers/onboard staff are trained in restraint kit use and keep several kits onboard.
Well, whatever he’s done or wrecked or got ourselves into, the sight of Paisley and Maguiness walking down the steps together at Stormont has to be a great achievment and one I thought I’d never see.
Has anyone thought about the fact that Paisley is going to be leaving within 5 years to retire. Given this was his last opportunity to put his name as the leader of Northern Ireland do you think he would really pass up the opportunity just so they would not conceed to work with terrorists?
Given his days back in the 1970s with his talks of NEVER NEVER NEVER, he does seem to be going back on his word….
Like all politics its about the persons ego not about the people. Had Paisley been 61 not 81 last week I am confident it wouldnt have happened as he still has fighting power in him.
(As a side note within his close circle it is known he is suffering a long term, some would say terminal, illness)

Ladbrookes are already paying out on Gordon Brown being PM. It seems there is a more high profile candidate list for the Deputys job than the PMs one.
Peter Hain is a muppet and everyone wants him out of Northern Ireland, but I think sticking him in Wales is the best course of action…
He really couldnt give a anything about Northern Ireland and it showed in the way he conducted himself.
It will be interesting to see who the next NI secretary will be as it we will no doubt be a dumping ground as we were with Hain. Whoever comes here may as well be on gardening leave!

A couple of weeks ago a hospital in Ireland pronounced a man dead. They informed his family and everything. They were bringing him down to the morgue and suddenly discovered he was alive!
It was great that he was alive but his family had suffered the pain of been told that he was dead. How could a man be alive and pronounced dead. It boggles the mind.
When he was discovered alive did he resemble a different person. If so likely explaination to whole thing is he is a Timelord. Maybe even Dr Who himself!

Thats a very steep angle to walk up!
Must be interesting when busy with only one entry/exit point!
Do they get high winds in that area as they dont seem lashed down that much other than the wheels!
With a plane on the runway for 6 hours, its amazing it didnt shut down the airport!!
π :diablo:
I thought the BBC were usually above the red top useage of “runway” as a name for taxiways, runway and aprons!
Doesnt look like much Airbus spin to be honest. The article is pointing out that the painting of MSN003 is complete and gives time line details for other aircraft.
I am been sachastick but it could be true as a crash for a modern aircraft Major airlines such as American Airlines will Take their’s out of service for maintinece and also any other airlines will put there orders on hold until the cause into the crash has been revealed
You canβt be sarcastic and mean it as a serious statement at the same time, or is that you being sarcastic about being sarcastic? My head hurts….
