They have susspended the route as the tourism council there paid them a few million for advertising. AIr France thought this was unfair so have brought leagal procedings and won saying Ryanair have to pay for the advertising themselves. Ryanair say with the small load factor they cant afford that so have pulled the route so people have to use Air France service now.

It means they could be forced out of the other airports also.

BTW They cant use a BAC1-11 cos they are not allowed over European Airspace!

Belfast Intl handles 50% of all traffic which is made up of low cost and charters. Londonderry handles 2% of traffic with routes with BA to Scotland and Dublin and Ryanair to Stansted then Belfast City with 49% of traffic to UK and Europe.

What makes up a main airport mind? Traffic? Destinations Served outside the Country of Origin? Variety of different airlines and/or aircraft? SIze of airport?

id like to point out that i got a taxi to and from the terminal when i was going to the spotting location and each way it was 5 euro which is only £3 each way. Just ask to go along the perimeter road!

Mind you the runway can switch and there is another hump at the other end so if u arrive at the first one and it changes ull need a taxi but thousands go along here as main road from airport!

Any A330 flight is a good flight. Remember u can see the take offs and all on the TV!

Gatwick says no spotting on car park top. They threatened me with arrest in June! There is a sign saying no photography allowed but we did. Technically with the wording of the sign u can watch but just dont take pictures of planes (they say the cameras looks too much like guns! LMAO)
