AFAIK the only aircraft “banned” (which is lifted on christmas day) are General Aviation aircraft as they will not be able to cope with the traffic patterns. I think given high costs of using LHR airlines do not use smaller aircraft as that would reduce any economy of scale effect. Im pretty sure ive seen odd RJ45 but i could be wrong!

Im sure if it was a Welsh Airport you could get a grant from the Assembley :p After all everything seems to be granted for you guys in the valleys. Bit like NI lol (but without the valleys)
