BA 777 Lands short of runway at LHR

Passengers have been led to safety after a jet landed short of the runway at Heathrow Airport.
The plane was a British Airways flight BA38 from Beijing to London, the airline said.

It is not clear if anyone has been injured during the incident. Emergency services are currently at the scene.

The incident happened as Prime Minister Gordon Brown was due to leave Heathrow for China and India. His flight was delayed because of the incident.

His jet was not directly involved.

Six engines were at the scene of the incident.

I could see Aer Arann having a business model close to that of Flybe which could make an ideal choice to expand into Ireland?

So all the safety measures put in place over the last decade(s) are finally paying off? Perhaps this will mean we could see a leveling off or downward level of life lost over future years?

These piles are usually located under ground? To fix this are they going to dig it all up to get down to the height they are at?

It would be a good idea to at least purchase something in the restaurant. The Harbour Police and PSNI both do have powers to move you on from the area as its private property to which the public have a right of way. You should see regular PSNI and Harbour Patrols in vehicles around the site to deter crime.

If you purchased something in the restaurant (its cheap!) then we would not move you on as your a customer.

You cannot “remove” default scenery from MSFS. You can use commands in scenery cfg file to flatten it (i.e. no buildings etc) which you can then paste new scenery ontop of.

When you do an installation of scenery such as UK2000, it installs the flatten command itself as this is how it “over rides” the default scenery.

Hopefully be able to venture out of my cave that weekend and meet a few of you guys:)

LOL! By cave you mean the Botanic Inn and by meet you mean youll need a lift from the Botanic Inn to BHD :dev2:

Hmmmm…. It’s tempting. Can fly out of LBA to BFS and back into MAN from BHD for about £34. Anyone from ’round my way’ fancy it?

Im happy to collect you at BFS

In terms of getting to BHD – Dublin is 2hr 30 on two buses but BFS is easy as there is a direct bus that does BHD-BFS-LDY-BFS-BHD all day at 1hr intervals. Its about £5 from BFS-BHD.

Im happy to collect people from BFS as long as times fit in.

(There are also several pubs within spitting distance of IKEA)
