    Yup i think its gone.
I heard the loudest rumble over my house there. I’m about 1/2mile from the army base and it was noisy!! :p

You mean just like the bmi A321 taking off from Belfast City Airport every hour? :p

102 is the belfast gate. Rarely changes but always same lounge. Its in the cul-de-sac in the corner on T1.

Ballykelly has two runways longer than Derry.

Lets not start giving Ryanair ideas to change airport 😉 Derry is out of the way as it is!

Renfrew – Yep closed down now and the Aviation Museum moved out – they wont say where to but my money is on newly opened Enniskillen Airport!

The problem will be getting it back out after i imagine. Dont think Ballykelly is big enough for a B738 takeoff even empty!

This happened to a comet coming into Belfast Aldergrove about 12-15 years ago. It landed by mistake at Nuts Corner / Langford Lodge as the runway is also 25/07 like EGAA. Comet had seat taken out to get light enough to take off to get to EGAA.

They restructured their pricing just again before or after Christmas and it has gone a bit downhill since then. They have increased Taxes and Charges on their Belfast City route which now stands are £52 taxes and charges. They also have business restricted cheaper than premium economy which is mad as you get food in business and bigger seat but in premium all you get is less miles and a economy seat and no food. Why bother paying £10 extra each way!!!

They need to drop their fares again as they are hitting the previous prices before loco but without food given out onboard!

They are loosing leisure pax on BHD route as prices are unaffordable compared to the fares of £45-50 including tax when tiny was introduced!

They just started construction work on it. The issues with adding further extension to taxiway including that it would cut into the nature reserve beside airport and then the wing of an A321 wud be just about over the fence of the “holywood exchange” which is beside IKEA site but already exists and goes up to the Airport boundary fence.

It has been like that for a while. In an AW issue someone complained about “misleading advertising” as bmibaby advertised cheap fares to LHR from BHD on posters but they are obv bmi operated. With AB at City, “theres no room in the Inn” as the story goes…

    Dee747,

I assume you refer to the poll ran by BBC Newsline? 4500 is the rough population of Short Strand! Hardly a drop in the lagan and i dont think a fair cross section of community…

After speaking to a few people im starting to get impression this move is to try and ease tensions between residents and the airport so the airport has some PR leverage to push ideas more. All for that as residents are being stupid to think that the noise will be worse if aircraft can use less take off power. I spoke to Reg Empy who said that views from myself AND a Belfast based flybe pilot were invalid!!! Im gate crashing planning meetings with as many people as i can muster as its too political!
