    George didnt exactly spend his life in NI – why not call Manchester Intl after him!!! I would put money Man United is more recognised link with him.

    Ive got your back elgan.

    There is abut a 50 / 50 split in NI as to support for George Best or not.

    BFS is from East Belfast so hence would of course be pro :p :p im from East Belfast but i prefer my bit to be known as “Stormont”. :p If i could justify it I would say Holywood :p

    I think a Statue is ok but next it will be “George Best International Airport” with no flights outside of europe bar biz jets!

    rdc1000, i didnt agree with all the hullaballoo over his death but he does have international fame with many countries around the world broadcasting his funeral!

    Agree with allmcc people will call it the city airport or the harbour airport. Will be interested to see if its offical name on charts will change to George Best or is it just a smoke and mirror job?

    7FP will prob be moved over to Stand 4 once the airport closes in 13 minutes as it will be a nightmare for the morning if its not on Stand 4 given Stand 4 has airbridge from bmi lounge.
