It has 3 runways, it has 2 parallel runways and a cross runway, but only 2 in operation

    Danny

Dont question Mark L’s knowledge of LHR! the L in his name stands for London Heathrow 😉

BHD can be very hit and miss with routes compared to BFS. Of course London always does well but BHD is exclusively (usually) usd by Greater Belfast and North Down. BFS is used by a wide cross section of all over NI so needs are slightly different.

Bad explaination lol just trying to say slightly different consumer groups…

Maybe bmibaby objected to Air Wales moving in on their “teritory” and threatened to remove contract for CWL-BFS??

Air Wales seem to be worse than bmi at routes!

Anyone heard the other news about topgear? They are finding it difficult to find a replacement airfield as they have been refused planning permission (at the new proposed site) for a race course as the council feared it would lead to increased emissions!

They say that dunsfold is ok for now but its being dug up for houses. What will happen to the B747 etc once this happens?

Completely agree with alliances consolidating in 1 terminal. bmi have stopped transfering your bags from bmi flights to, for example, Lufthansa due to costs incurred at LHR to do so.

It would be great from a consumer point of view to be able to have bags transfered again!

I’ll give you 10 minutes until you get moved on 😉

I was stood at Hatton Cross tube station, in full view of a policewoman, and also quite a few police cars went passed me, and nobody batted an eyelid.

Yes well given that if you are on a car park inside BAA perimeter with big “NO AIRCRAFT SPOTTING” signs they might just be more pro active in policing that area.

Nothing has been said about Derry for a while. From memory it was left at they were submitting a planning application and the residents were opposing. Thing was 7 homes and farmes need to “dissappear” to make way for runway extention. The residents say its not justified due to no airlines like flybe wanting to operate from Derry.

I honestly cant see them doing anything for at least 5-10 years. They barely have enough fire cover as it is for the airport. If your aircraft lands short of runway 26, youll be please to know the hovercraft can take 8 people at a time. Very reassuring for a 140 seater aircraft!

I think it’s just the fact that I talk more nonsense than you Mark!

I’ll look into flight prices for either YYZ or NYC. It would be nice to see Toronto in temperatures above -20! I’ll let you know what I come up with.

    Paul

Seriously you should come with us to NYC as we arrive on 4th of July and according various websites the festivities along the brooklyn bridge river are amazing, they even close the highway!

Plus our hotel room is way cheaper with 3 in NY but in Toronto its not an option for 3. Plus we have stuff to do in YYZ but all free time in NY!

Ill even talk randomness with u 😀 Image that on flight home 😀

Mark, will you have much free time when you’re in Toronto or New York? I’m free at the moment for those days and wouldn’t mind another hop across the pond!

As far as the dates for a European meet are concerned, it look like I’m working on the 8th 😡

There will not be a list published for some time yet AFAIK. A380 is confirmed for sure along with a babybus i think.
