The bmi arrived very late last night at 2250. 10 minutes later and would have gone to EGAA which is hell to get transport from at that time of night!
Given the angles and the fact the DC9 nose wheel is extended fully the A319 must be sitting on the fuse of the DC9 not its rear gear? The DC9 couldnt be that low to go underneat the A319 tale!!
Did the wing tear into the overhead panel area as it looks like? Can you still get DC9 overhead if needed?

bmi star any airline who has regional aircraft would love those routes because they are very profitable. Not because of high loads or yields far from it but the Irish goverment wants them routes to be operating so they pay the airline to cover the costs of operating the routes.
But Shamrock the government already gave investment for Aer Arann and BA to operate these routes and since they are doing well why or currently need extra invesment.
I mean i dont think they will fund €300 per pax AND a bmi service. They arn’t THAT stupid.
Will be interested to see the Derry to Dublin prices, that would definetly be a service id like to try its only £65 return as it is!
I have a very strong feeling bmi once they start a dublin would try BHD to DUB as with their very very happy NI customer base that could win over alot of travellers!
I’m guessing by the amount of sand(*) on the ground that the fuel tank on the A319 was ruptured. The pilots must have been swimming in Jet A. Ugh.
*I’m sure it’s not sand but some sort of absorbant material but I didn’t know what else to call it.
Looks like sand to me! Wouldnt be surprised as they use sand for road oil spills after car accidents in the UK or at petrol stations to stop it being a fire risk.
I’d rather adopt a flight attendant!
anyone feel like taping, digitising and uploading it 😀
Must say from what ive seen this show is going to be truly amazing! Ive never for the life of me seen anything this good for the FS industry!
You couldnt get a better variety or quality anywhere! id say your best lot ever dan! Daniel Nicholson – the Next Sam Chui
The Serco school at Teesside is indeed world-renowned. Students get sent here from airports big and small around the world to top up their skills in firefighting, rescuing, observation skills, and testing new equipment out. The school has an edge because it’s one of the few allowed to burn Kerosene (thus more realistic).

We also get people coming to Belfast City to see our Gas Aircraft mockup thingy the Fire Service here use at BHD.
