The plane looks good though with the winglets despite the livery.(also agree its abit dated)

The outdated look is more commonly referred to as “retro”. I like it. 😀

Forgive me for being so dense, but what is the setup with this airline? Where are they based and what destinations will they serve?

    Colour scheme is alright though.

Great news for Gatwick. I’ve been whining since flying with Ryanair about their operations at London Gatwick. Serving a single destination seemed a little bit pathetic, so to see a second destination on the list is great.

I wonder how long it will be before we see real international destinations being served from Gatwick?

If you are going to wait for Ren Frew to dig it out, I would also recommend that you keep your eyes peeled in the TV Guide over the next few weeks.

Discovery Wings is one of these annoying channels that has a terrible habit of repeating everything very frequently!

    Not so fantastic. 😮

Nice report:D, shame I see no pic:(

EZY tend to use the “older” 319s on the CGN route for some reason. Well “older” used very loosely considering the oldest is just about September 2003. Those wierd reges are the old Swiss busses. EZYSwiss decided they wanted new planes. The last two letters are the initials of an EZY engineer,

    Cheers

    Sam:)

I’m not sure what has happened with the photos. They were linked from another website to which I uploaded them. Ah well, they were nothing special anyway!

As for the A319s, I learned just a few nights ago that they were ex-Swiss aircraft. For aircraft that are more than a year old, being used as much as they are, they are in excellent condition, especially inside.

In the rest of the world’s book it’s a medium haul operation.

So I was right after all. What a surprise!

Why do you think it is that British Airways don’t base a 777 in Manchester for flights to New York?

Let’s face it, the airline’s fares are not too competitive, so passengers expect that little bit extra from the airline, including inflight entertainment systems all to themselves, just like long haul passengers from Gatwick and Heathrow.

    There’s no escaping 50-50 ! 😮

Who is that annoying woman that used to present it? Sally Grey or something like that?

I noticed she’s moved up in the world now, presenting “Moving Day” on ITV1 on weekday afternoons. 😀

Well excuuuuuse me, Mr “I fly around the world every year”, but 6 to 7 hours is long haul 😉

I was told a couple of years ago that my flight to JFK with United from LHR was classed as “medium haul”. Whether or not there is such a thing, I don’t know, but lets face it, 6 hours isn’t particularly long, is it?
