My signature would have cleared up the EVA Air question for you, but you won’t see any of their 747-400s at this time of the year. The aircraft comes into Heathrow at about 7.30pm and leaves two hours later.

I think they also occasionally send MD-11s for cargo purposes into Heathrow, don’t they?

Since I can only recall flying on one 757, it’d have to be that! Mind you, they’re so very similar (based on looks), it wouldn’t bother me.

You’re in for a treat by the looks of things. Qatar Airways is one of only three airlines that SkyTrax rates as being a Five Star airline – the best you can get. And with you flying in First Class, I reckon its going to be well worth a report!

My parents flew with Qatar in March 2003 from LHR-DOH-BKK-DOH-LHR and said they had never experienced service like it before, particularly on the A330 operating between Heathrow and Doha. The A300s were not so great.

There is a very similar piece of footage lying around on the Internet with an Air Portugal (TAP) Airbus being thrown all over the place. It was posted on here not so long ago, but I think the Captain initiated a go-around eventually! 🙂

Any of those going to give any attention to the Tu-144?

Most of these have been shown many times before on Discovery Wings – typical. I’m sure the Tupolev Tu-144 gets a mention or two.
