I was with you when you took that photo. I’ve got one which is practically identical! 🙂

I’m getting quite good at this… :p

My reasons for choosing a BEA Trident are:

1. As I said above. Look at what appears to be red text on the fuselage. By looking for just a few seconds, you can make out that it says BEA.

2. The red, white and blue tail also is a giveaway – it’s so British.

3. The nose is quite significant on the Trident and you can clearly see it in this shot.

4. The position of the aircraft, behind those rather distinct barbed wire fences.

That random red splodge in the middle seems to be saying “BEA” to me, so I’ll guess a BEA Trident.

I was thinking something like a 727…?

Was the clue “Airlines initials are ASA” as that definetly is rigged if along those lines. Not very cricket T5 & Andrew

You saw what the clue was a few minutes ago – last flight into Gatwick was in 2001. Any body with half a brain could log onto Airliners.net and search for DC-10s at Gatwick in 2001. African Safari crops up once or twice.

No need to get funny because you didn’t guess it correctly. I could have told you it wasn’t British Airways!

I can assure you that wasn’t rigged.

I was discussing it with A330Crazy on MSN and he gave the clue. Obviously a bit of unfair play, but under no circumstances did he reveal the airline to me.

My JMC guess was a serious one. The reason I suggested this was that the edited image look as if the aircraft had a darker belly. As we all know, the JMC colour scheme was interesting. It had a dark green/blue wave running along the bottom.

Also, on the tail, it looks as if there is something white running along the tail’s edge, so I guessed text.
