Wonderful, but I’m still feeling a bit hot! A few more photos might do the trick! πŸ˜€

With regard to G-DOCM, I flew on that back in 2002 from London Heathrow to Barcelona. It has been at Glasgow for quite some time now without any engines. Does anyone know what is going on with it? Is it likely to return to the skies?

    Exceptional!

Thanks for sharing them with us. I think the Monarch A300 looks brilliant! πŸ˜‰

    What is a “REAL” airline?

    I like this term.

To sum it up, it’s probably an airline which isn’t either (A) a charter airline or (B) a low cost airline! A real airline will offer you everything you could possibly want on a flight – entertainment, meals, beverages and more. The bonus to a real airline is that you don’t have to pay extra for these ‘extras’ once on board.

For example.. British Airways, bmi, Virgin Atlantic.

Unreal Airlines.. easyJet, Ryanair, MyTravel, Monarch Airlines, First Choice etc.

    Nice shots.

I recently searched the British Airways website for flights for London Heathrow to Barra via Glasgow with British Airways/Loganair and the price was about Β£210 return.

I can’t afford Saint Maarten, so this may be a much better alternative!

All very interesting statistics, but when you consider the volume of flights for each of the airlines on a daily basis, one delay can seriously affect the figures.

I can only assume that a charter airline would operate more flights than bmibay each day from Manchester.

For example, let’s assume that A Airways has 8 flights a day from Manchester whilst Air B has just 3 flights a day, one delayed service by Air B could make it look bad – with that meaning that just 66% of flights depart on time. On the other hand, A Airways can have 3 delayed services and be ranked as being just as good as its rival.

the extra 50 each to stop over in Athens with the proper airlines doesnt seem so bad…

    I couldn’t agree more! πŸ˜€

    Sounds very exciting stuff! πŸ˜€

An excellent report though, I have to say. I remember that in 1999, I flew with Monarch Airlines on an A300 from Puerto Plata (POP – Dom Rep) to London Gatwick. The flight operated via the country’s captial city (Santo Domingo) and it took about 20-25 minutes in the air to get there.

After touching down, the A300 taxiied to the terminal building and those that were already on the aircraft were forced to wait on board with not very much to do. We sat there for at least 90 minutes before taking the skies.

Nope that’s not iFDG im afraid, that Project Airbus lol

Sorry… after double checking, I discovered that it was indeed a Project Airbus aircraft. I do have the IFDG A320 in the MyTravel/Skyservice colours but don’t notice a dramatic different between the two?

    Im using FS2002 Standard Edition

Go to Avsim.com (or if you can be bothered with hassle of logging in, FlightSim.com) and download some FS2002 aircraft.

Make sure that you are downloading the model and the textures. I’ve noticed that a lot of the downloads are textures only.

Once you have downloaded the file (it will be zip file), open it and drag and drop the contents into C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 2002Aircraft or something along those lines.

Start FS2002 and your aircraft will appear on the list.

And that the employee will be fired!

I’d like to think that this employee has been fired already.

Surely, a woman without limbs has just as much chance of escaping an aircraft wreckage as an old aged pensioner who is wheeled onto the aircraft at the departure airport. I can’t see the problem?
