I saw this photo the other day. Looks awful and I still can’t get over how ridiculous the airline’s name is!

Great shots there, has that guy in that cabin shot not read the sign? It clearly states that nobody should cross the line! :p

The 744s have the same excellent Y class seats as the 777s but no PTVs and (IMHO) the 747 configuration isn’t as nice as on a 767 or 777 because of the three seat sets by the windows. Still a very nice aircraft though, we’re just spoiled with the latter.

Another suggestion is if you are travelling Y class avoid rows 32-34 – they’re a little area in front of the economy plus, and because of the structure of the aircraft they’re horribly cramped.

    Hope this helps

I joined the British Airways Executive Club and the Thai Airways Royal Orchid Plus schemes.

A return trip to Bangkok will allow to me take an extra 10kg of baggage for the next 2 years and once you fly 50,000 miles (LHR-BKK-LHR almost 10 times) you get a free flight in the next class. So, if you fly economy, you’ll get upgraded to Business Class.

British Airways gave me 250 points for a return flight to Edinburgh. You need to make this trip 320 times in order to get a return flight to Bangkok (in economy)!!

Another brilliant photo. I agree, you’ve done a great job. The sun catches very nicely on the side of the aircraft. 😀

But by using some of the country’s smaller airports, is this not just another Ryanair, flying to a random field, miles from anywhere?

They can try, but like ‘Now’, ‘Mama Air’ and ‘Sky-Bus’, the project probably won’t take off!

Great sites, guys. It’s good to see more and more people have their own aviation websites. We should create some sort of web-ring where one visitor to one of the sites is able to access any of the others (if you get what I mean?)

One thing I would recommend is your own web-hosting. It doesn’t have to be expensive. I am currently paying a few quid each month for a fair amount of webspace which is great compared to the 10mb NTL gave me. No pop-ups or banner adverts on any of the websites and you can host your own forums etc.

I expect I’ll continue for life with web hosting now. The possibilities are endless and proper hosting allows you to have hi-tech pages which ordinary ISPs wouldn’t allow.

    🙂

Ryanair flying to Paris? I bet they don’t go within 50 miles of the place! 😀 😀 😀

    Excellent shots!

Did you manage to get onto the Sultan of Oman’s aircraft?

Consider yourself lucky! The 747s have only recently made a comeback at Heathrow.

When I flew on one of their 777-200s about 14 months ago, the inflight magazine which summed up each of the transatlantic aircraft gave the impression that all of the aircraft offered pretty much the same in the way of service etc, although you have a wider range of audio and visual entertainment on board the 777.

I’m sure you’ll have a great trip, what date in March do you go?

With this chicken, flu thing in Thailand, I don’t know if my trip will be affected. 😡

Just experienced something very embarrassing on ebay a second ago when I wanted to pay for my latest model (see below). The transaction was refused due to insufficient funds. I’ve had to now chip into my holiday money for March to pay for it, but it looks as if it will be worth every last penny – £14.50!

The A380 is the one A330Crazy won recently, along with many others! He is more addicted that I am! 😀

The model is a Dragonwings Boeing 777-300 in the Thai Airways Intl colours. Very nice!
