Looks great, shame it’s not for real!
Ren, what’s the aircraft in your Avatar, is it a MYT 767 or DC10? I really cannot tell – whats the reggie?
It’s like Christmas with all these brilliant photos from everyone.. kev included!
Most impressive selection, particularly like the Ryanair 737 and also the British Airways 757, the nose is great.
Absolutely brilliant. I hope my new Fuji achieves such successful results. Let’s see more! 🙂
I presume you only saw arrivals, no sign of TG911, Thai Airways 744?
Interesting point.
I would opt for the older aircraft opposed to the newer one. Like you say, it’s done a bit more mileage and less prone to a sudden fault compared to a new aircraft for example.
Welcome back, EGNM.
It reminds me of the Snowflake (by SAS?) colour scheme.
Great photos, bhoy. Lots of variety which is nice to see. 😉
I can imagine your anger, I’d not tolerate such dreadul treatment. For them not to have anybody from Ryanair on the scene to explain why it is cancelled is even worse.
Like you say, people are not going to want to call Ireland (at God only knows what rate per minute) to claim a refund.
I would be after compensation for wasting my time, getting to the airport and then getting home again. It’s not acceptable.
Glad to hear all of you had a good day.
Nice photograph there too, Kev. I certainly look forward to seeing more of the results of the trip in the coming days/weeks.

On United they do not charge for headphones.
United isn’t a charter airline though. Many scheduled carriers do issue them for free but will want them back. If you pay on a charter airline, they are yours to keep. But United are great!
Charge for entertainment?
They will no doubt charge you about £3 for a set of headphones, but I would have thought that was it.
I can’t see the runway action, but the views are good when aircraft pass over and we see lots of turning above us.
Sometimes, the aircraft even retract their landing gears over us, but this is rare.

That’s right, Andrew. Free on Sundays but other days are £5 all day. I think this is great value, even if you’re only 2-3 hours, it is very competitive compared to the official airport ones and the views are spectacular.
It’s a shame it’s so awkward to arrange a meet to suit all. I’m sorry I’ll not be coming along, but I’m hoping those of you attending have a great time!
Do be sure to get me a photo of TG911 departing for Bangkok at 11:50am if you can! We departed from the runway opposite visitor’s centre, it may leave that one again.
Have a great day.
Much like our system. The £2.50 (or whatever it is) is a minimum charge and even if you are only a few seconds, you must still collect a ticket on the way in and pay for it before you leave.
Some interesting facts there.
With regard to car parking. Why on earth can short stay car parks not be the same price as shopping centres. Paying in excess of £2.50 for 30 minutes is a rip-off. It is clear that they make enough money from the car parks, but I expect they would make more if they lowered the prices. More people would be happy to pay less, thus filling the car park to full capacity.
