Difficullt to choose, considering I’ve not experienced many British airlines, more frequently flying my destination’s flag carrier. But anyway, here’s my choices and reasons:
REGIONAL CARRIER – I’d certainly say British Airways and it’s smaller airlines such as Loganair. An extremely large airline with flights to just about every airport in the country.
FLAG CARRIER – A rather pricey airline I’d say. Had a quote from them today for our next holiday. Since Thai was not available, we were forced to “consider” British Airways at a supplement of £300 per person on top of the Thai price. Although my 2 flights with them have been good ones, they’re certainly expensive for what they are, but they offer more routes than any other UK airline still in operation.
CHARTER AIRLINE – I’ve tried Monarch Airlines, JMC Air, Britannia Airways, Airtours International. On long haul, Airtours International with their A330s and PTVs were great, they did after all introduce them before any other charter airline.
LOW COST – I’d say Ryanair. That programme I watched 2 or so months ago was interesting, explaining how Ryanair really dominate the low cost airline industry and how they sneakily make their profits, sometimes deceiving passengers. The future looks bright for them, easyJet also.
