This appeared in today’s copy of the top-notch Sun newspaper!

They are also running a competition to win your very own piece of the Saddam Hussein statue… what trash!

They have a Legoland in India? 😀

I read about this today and understand that it would have been the ideal opportunity for terrorists because Legoland was closed for the Winter season and it would have taken a few minutes for anybody to prevent the launching of a missile.

Surely, if an attack is going to take place from Legoland in Windsor, some miles from Heathrow, it would best having tanks there opposed to at the airport. What purpose did these military vehicles and soldiers actually serve?

The main concern with Britannia amongst travellers is the seat pitch(!!) – I’ve not shut up about seat pitch lately. One woman talks about how she could not take the brace position, as being pointed out by the crew, due to the fact that the seat in front was just too close to her.

Other than the size of the seats though, they are a good airline.

Read the question – that’s why.

Unless of course you fly to LAX-JFK or JFK-LAX on the London route which is a 777-200 🙂

I was searching on Airliners.net for G-OBYI, the only aircraft registration I can remember of the 763s I have flown with Britannia. I don’t know how many of their 763s (maybe all of them) are painted in the blue scheme, but G-OBYI has been…

When we flew this aircraft in the summer of 2001 it was in the navy blue and white scheme. My infamous picture which you should have all seen at least 1,000 times by now shows so…

But, have a great holiday. Quite a trek to Mexico, but you’ll have fun on the flight, Britannia Airways are great and have won many awards for their service.

With all this colour malarky and Concorde supposedly having to be painted white, how do the logos and decoration on the tails stay on the aircraft and not get ripped off?

I don’t know what to make of this story. I don’t believe that most things in the media are 100% true, but I would believe more of what I would read from the Telegraph (an example Broadsheet) to the Sun (a tabloid).

Perhaps the guns came in on a British Airways flight last month but they just failed to mention it? DHL then lost the parcel (which these companies do all the time) and recovered it again yesterday and wanted to look inside and just by pure coincidence, it was a gold plated gun belonging to one of Saddam’s buddies.

While Playboy no doubt will be happy with the publicity and the opportunity to lift its sales, KLM is unlikely to be as enthusiastic.

The best line in that article! KLM won’t be enthusiastic, they’re just going to be incredibly píssed off! But that’s an overwhelming response and it will be nice to see the results…

    …not on the forum, obviously!

Being the person that started this thread, I too fail to understand where it is leading to.

What has been said was not was supposed to be said. The idea was that people told us something that we probably didn’t know about them. At first, yes it was humourous, but christ knows how many posts later and it’s just not funny any more.

What does a digital camera mean by 3x digital/optical zoom?

Standard lenses have their zoom measured in a 70-200mm (as an example) format. What does this equate to?
