    RE: Report on London Manston.

Interesting information Andrew, a good read.

So it mainly deals with cargo flights? Perhaps if Mama Air in a few months time is a success, more airlines will be attracted to the airport. Airlines such as easyJet, taking over Go have enough aircraft and their profits mean they can afford to take such a risk.

Dare I say but I found that programme quite dull at times. I found they drifted off topic quite a lot and covered grounds which were in no way related to the Kegworth disaster.

One thing I did like was the special effects at the beginning when the computer animation showed the driver’s point of view then the 737 smashing down in front of it.. very dramatic.

And there were more than four survivors, why didn’t they speak to more. Being a sensitive topic, some may not want to speak about it, but surely more than 4 would be willing to talk of the flight.

Overall, it wasn’t bad. Rather impressive to see such an aviation-related programme on the BBC.

That’s one hell of a report! It analyses the ages of all of crew, how long they have been trained to fly the aircraft (in the case of the Pilot and Co-Pilot) and how long they have been qualified to work in the cabin (in the case of the Cabin Crew) – Flights hours on an aircraft, rest period since last flight and more..

I just had to find out how many words there were in that report – 65,000!!

    RE: Travel To Northern Cyprus

I have also been to Cyprus. I went back in 1995 and remember ir vividly. We flew Cyprus Airways and stayed in the lively resort of Ayia Napa. Of course, then compared to now is quite different. There were pubs and clubs, but not a tenth as many as there are these days.

We took a trip by boat to look at the interesting Famagusta (Ghost Town) which was taken over by Turkey I understand some years before?

We also visited Nicosia, quite different to Ayia Napa of course and took a taxi ride up into the Troodos Mountains – very scenic.

But the north side? Not familiar with it I’m afraid!

On the subject of No Win no Fee… Have you noticed that we don’t see little Declan who damaged his eyes in his local playpark on the telly anymore? He got £8,000 with the help of Claims Direct! Fortunately, no more annoying advertisements becaust they have gone bust!

If when drinking tea and coffee in flight, they might scald themselves if it gets spilt.

Also, they aren’t going to check-in at Miami in the nude are they? And there isnt’t going to be a great deal of room on board to change, so at which stage are they going to take their clothes off? 😛

It looks great. Not too keen on the MyTravel colour scheme but it makes that DC-10 look great!

Who was the guy who showed us his impressive 4-engined A320 and the easyJet A320? Perhaps he had something to do with it?! LOL, joke of course 😀

Or his parents? After all, it was them who brought him into the world. Unless he’s gunned them down too.
