    Well, you would think so.

    But clearly United do assign some of their 767-300s to domestic routes. Occasionally, these aircraft are used on the transatlantic services but are not equipped with the “international” equipment.

    Good news. I do not believe an airline can be held responsible for causing Deep Vein Thrombosis.

    It’s like people trying to sue McDonald’s recently because they were fat and blamed the fast food restaurant for their weight. These people chose to ate at McDonald’s as people do choose to fly. Everyone knows the risks or consequences of doing something.

    When you look at it, airlines do mostly feature simply exercises which could be carried out to prevent DVT setting in. If those who die as a result of it choose not to exercise, then they are to blame – the airline is trying to prevent it happening.

    I found the 767-300 to be just as good to be honest. Was relatively pleased with it overall – legroom, seat width etc. Just the entertainment lacked a bit of “oomf”!

    Also, when flying the 767-300 on transatlanatic services, you aren’t always guaranteed a PTV. The airline claims that only “International” 767s are fitted with this facility.

    I also flew the Airtours (now MyTravel of course) A330 in March of this year. The cameras were great but it seems a pointless feature. Considering they use the A330 on mostly transatlantic routes, there is little to see for 90% of the total journey. However, takeoff and landing is good and gives you the pilot’s perspective. One thing they need to rectify is that when the intercom is used, the footage doesn’t sotp which it seemed to do… GRR..!!

    Certainly a very basic change to the colour scheme but I’m keen on the new one – it seems much plainer, but plainer is better in my opinion!

    United 777’s are good. I flew N774UA just recently and was thrilled by the friendliness of the crew and the facilities on the aircraft.

    Economy is in a 2-5-2 seating configuration, sounds a lot, but really it’s not. There is plenty of room both to the side of you and even for your legs and feet!

    There are personal TV’s for all passengers. The 777 has the widest range of entertainment (i.e. more channels) than the larger 747-400 and the smaller 767-300.

    There are 30 or 40 something video channels with the same programme in a variety of languages and some really quite recent films. With the audio side of things, this is good too. When I flew, being English, I wasn’t too familiar with the music being played, so stuck to the video, but one of the stations was called “from the flightdeck” and you could hear the air traffic control talking to our aircraft and surrounding aircraft.

    Not really much more can be said, but it’s a great aircraft and what I believe to be a great airline.

    Bad idea. This scheme is just going to cause panic amongst passengers.

    British Airways even had doubts about the scheme.
