RE: Air Canada’s 65th Anniversary
Yes, it’s a nice colour scheme.
I can’t understand why they are making such a big deal out of a 65 year anniversary? I don’t want to sound stupid but 65 years is hardly significant. They should do it every 10 years or something.
RE: Tribute.
lol… oh yeah, and not forgetting the 747 as well 🙂
RE: Ariana’s first A300.
That’s nice of them – let’s hope these ones aren’t destroyed!
RE: Tribute.
Very nice pics guys, good to see a Joe Pries in there as well.
Here’s on I took quite a few years back when passing Heathrow. We opted to take the scenic route and stumbled across British Airways Concorde G-BOAC parked outside a hanger.
Apologies for the poor quality. I was young when I took it and the ends have been cut off slightly because it was taken on a disposable camera with no zoom or flash or anything!
When I flew out of Heathrow in February, our flight was 10:30hrs and as many will be aware, this is the same time as Concorde (or Conkie Donkie as I used to call it!). The view was spectacular and the cabin of the 737 I was on just shook frantically. It was certainly something I’d like to see again.

lol, sorry Kabir!
Where has that aircraft come from because obviously it’s not new?
RE: Pic Of the Day – Northwest!
very nice
RE: What do you think about this picture?
Has anyone contacted the photographer and ‘enquired’?

RE: Free tickets to television shows.
Yeah, most of these programmes are free. Back in March, my sister went to see the Trisha show. This was free and the minimum age was 16.
Several years ago, my parents went to see “Bruce’s Price is Right”. They filmed two episodes of this in the same night. Thats why the audience always used to laugh when Bruce says “you’re much better than the last audience” because it is the same people as the previous show!
Here’s a couple more links:
http://www.chortle.co.uk/features/free.html – Free tickets to the Johnny Vaughan Show, They Think it’s all Over and Frank Skinner.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/whatson/tickets/ – A variety of free tickets to BBC TV and Radio shows.
http://www.comedyonline.co.uk/temp2.html – Free tickets for the incredibly poor “Baddiel and Skinner Unplanned”
http://www.powerhousetv.co.uk/Audience%20Department/theshows.html – The best free tickets site on the net. They offer free tickets for just about anything and everything on the telly that has an audience! (e.g. Who Wants to be a Millionaire)

RE: Quake
So-called “Experts” predict that the UK will experience a similar sized quake in about 10 years – so on 23rd September 2012, make sure you’re awake an ready for the next one.
I have just watched ITN news and it showed a DJ who had a show going in some huge tower. He was live on air and had to keep cool while this building shook frantically!
The biggest earthquake since records began in the UK was back in 1931. This caused lots of damage but nobody was killed.
And finally… a tip for those (like me) that slept through it. If you want to experience an earthquake, go to the National History Museum and go on that shop simulator that shakes. It simulates one that occurred in Japan (I think) and it killed 4,000 people.

RE: Ariana’s first A300.
Just looked at that site about the recovery of Kabul Intl Airport. This surely has to be a potential pic of the day – Kabul airport at sunset.

Great pic of the A300.
Can someone explain to me what the situation is at the moment with regard to Afghanistan?
By this I mean, do airlines such as British Airways fly to the country, if not, are they going to start etc? What airlines fly to Kabul with the exception of Ariana?
