They are usually bright, but we’ve only seen the tail so far so we cannot assume that it’s going to be dull all over.

JMC for example have a lime green tail and some may assume it is going to be that horrific clour all over when in fact it is just white with a nice blue wave at the bottom.

Great aircraft, shame about the state it’s in. That was the Cardiff flight to Girona flight back in September 1999.

Was there a fault with the landing gear or something and when it touched down it skidded of the runway and into marsh-land?

Thankfully, nobody was killed, but several people who were suffering from shock didn’t want to carry on with their Thomson holiday in the sun!

A few days later, a man in his fifties died but it’s not thought to be connected to the crash.

I’ve posted a flight for 29th August 2002 and it is obviously wrong! Can it possibly be altered to 2001 or deletred?

Jolly good stuff…

It’s a wise change. Air 2000 have the First choice logo at the front of each Aircraft and now they have it on the tail. Very interesting as just as good as the old livery.

Dan330 – Haven’t you noticed that there is an awful lot of people posting stupid, unrealistic flights? If Kabir and I had posted these, it is unlikely we would use our own screen names. There is nothing stopping some childish thing pretending to be someone else.

😉 Perhaps the person doing it could stop? Can you log IP addresses of those posting? If you can, it might be wise so you can see where the posts are coming from.

I didn’t actually log a flight for 2005 – I done the others that seem a little more realistic. But starting from scratch seems a litte more reasonable.

I used to be a keen glider. I used to travel for about 2 hours every Saturday to go gliding in a K21 glider. It was a much cheaper sport than flying something with an engine because you were only paying for the instructor’s time and it’s a great way to get started.

I was going to start flying some little aircraft and it was only going to cost a mere £24 an hour – jolly good value, but the travelling proved to be too much for me so I stopped… but I’m definitely going to start again some time!

Wouldn’t you say that older aircraft are more reliable? They have been flying much longer which means they are far more reliable.

I personally wouldn’t want to fly on a brand new aircraft or an extremely old aircraft just in case.

A few years ago, one of my mum’s friends who used to work for Air India said she would be able to get one of her friend’s still working for the airline as a pilot to take me to Paris to fetch a brand new 747. God only knows what it was doing down there, but I wasn’t overly keen on the idea!

Earlier this year on a BA A319, the aircraft was still turning as it touched down. Obviously it wasn’t lined up properly for landing and we touched down on the rear right hand landing gear, followed by the left. It wasn’t a fraction of a second before the left wheel touched down, more like 2 or 3 and it was hell. I’m unsure just how close the right wing was to “bashing” onto the runway!

I agree with Smokers. It’s awful.. expecially in confined spaces. The last thing you want is someone blowing a puff of smoke right in your face – it’s awful!

Surely, if people want to kill themself by smoking, they may as well just jump in front of a train and get it done a lot quicker!
