Whether Willow will enjoy this, poor girl, is another matter… 😀
Well done mate, that made fall on the floor laughing. Big respect to you pal!

I’ve finally got round to playing Operation Flashpoint and I love it! There were a few teething problems as I tried to set it up correctly for my computer and I was a bit disappointed by the graphics 🙁 … But its great really in spite of those negatives. I’ve only done a couple of missions (I keep getting killed) but already I’m hooked! I love that mission where you and your squad take the village and kill the Ruskies then have to run away from the T-80s. Man tanks are hard! They must have killed me 4 or 5 times! I love it!
Glad to be of help mate!
Now… for my consultation fee… 😉 😀

I never had the pleasure of meeting the man behind these tributes, I can’t remember if he was here when I joined, or whether I even had the opportunity to speak to him, although the name does ring a bell.
It is horrible news when someone you know and admire passes, but reading this page, I can’t help but think that the real loss is to the younger members such as myself who never had a chance to recieve an earbashing from him for some mistake or other mis-post. I also hear he was a biker as well… Oh the missed opportunities!
My thoughts are with everyone that he held dear at this difficult time.
Rest in peace mate.
With the deepest respects,
BARNOWL

THIS is exactly what I have whined about on the other threads with luminaries not reading whats actually out there. You infidels and al-keedas are actually arguing about NOTHING. WHy? Coz there is a lil link on the right of the page which says:
VIDEO: NFTC CT-155 Hawk pilots eject after bird strike (01/02/06)
I enclose a transcript of the email sent to me an hour after I disclosed the information I did in my first post.
Dear Mr. Reynolds,
Thank you very much for your information.
Many readers were able to help us and as a result we have posted an updated version of the story: http://www.flightinternational.com/Articles/2006/02/01/Navigation/177/204464/VIDEO+NFTC+CT-155+Hawk+pilots+eject+after+bird+strike.html
Thanks again.
So really mate the argument came before the addition, not after it.

PS. Looking at the whole left right incident, I stand corrected and apologise for my stupidity.
That`s actually port. I have this video for quite a while and when I downloaded it the info said it was a British Hawk.
If an object is oncoming and to our view it swirves left it is actually going right. Therefore when the bird swirves left on our screen it is actually going into the starboard engine air intake.

I’ve seen this video before and it was attributed to a Canadian Hawk that ingested a birdstrike.
In my opinion this is more valid that an F-16, as the bitching Betty was a VERY British voice, and if you look, the bird enters the engine to the left of the screen, indicating an air intake on the starboard side of the fuselage, rather than the centrally mounted air intake of the F-16. Both pilot and student were reported safe and well.
Any more information?
