While there are certain configuration that PAK-FA, F-16, Su-27, F-15, F-35A cant reach 9G , everyone can agree that they are 9G capable aircraft. The fact that PCA is said to be not 9G capable clearly show that their priority changed from maneuverable to range and load out

    Did F-35 reach 9G?

Any idea of Trump election on F-35 program? I mean real effect, not his “rodomontades”

Interesting that the EASA oppose both the Civil Aviation Authority and the one in charge of the Crash inquiry. They’d better be sure of their position otherwise the stain on its reputation could be damaging.
The fact that Airbus procedures (test and preventive maintenance) seems to have been faulty does not preclude something good for an agency backing them unilaterally.

Do you have a source for the report? EASA is not reknown for being laxist.

Having a single country development instead of multinational does not make any difference. The Rafale and Gripen had just as many delays and cost overruns as the Eurofighter. The only way to make affordable fighters is to have competition with multiple designs.

wrong (inform yourself about Rafale program cost overruns…).(aswell as cost discussions. There never was any cost disclosed for 4000). There was a version with fised angle derived from mirage G. stayed a prototype.

Funny joke, no pun intended… i do not know the source….

The “F” is for Freemium (it’s all in the click-wrap)

    Welcome!
Your new F-35 is free to fly, but on your first flight you must agree to share personal information about you and your use of the plane with
    Lockheed Martin and its contractors*.

Basic “free-to-fly” usage includes limited fuel and flight range, and does not include weapons. You can purchase fuel, ammo, and upgrades
(such as improved weapons and air-to-air refueling) in our online store.

The Iran Strike battle map is included free when you confirm your email address. To obtain other maps, or to fly your F-35 in Campaign Mode, you must purchase upgrades from our online store.

Lockheed Martin Online and USA Battle reserve the right to restrict your use of the F-35, and to terminate your membership at any time.

    * In the event of corporate acquisition or shifting alliances, your information might be transferred to other parties.”

Highly debatable, what Tornado or M2K? Those two types are in service with their respective air forces and appear to satisfy their needs, both those air forces are busy drawing them down to facilitate the induction of new types. Leasing Jaguar only hampers that exercise. Sweden has plenty of Gripen in storage and are also in the process of adopting a new type, inducting a totally Alien type on the form of Jaguar REALLY makes no sense.

People are really getting hung up about Russia, yes they are getting increasingly bold but I doubt the UK, France or Sweden are going to square off against them any time soon. It is mainly posturing.

Not only debatable (better systems than M2K-D). Pure fantasy.

I take it with a pinch of salt, but indeed interesting development. India would order 83 Tejas MkIa as a stop gap option awaiting for MkII

Things seem to be slowly moing in europe. After all, for “eurodrone” (forgot the new name), industrials joined and worked some time altogether BEFORE trying to sell it to politicians.

Definitely Mirage 4000, due to its twin radar envisaged config (A2G radar in a pod) and other qualities, but there is a topic about it.

Which best technology? F-16V? Rejected on TECHNICAL GROUND. Best guarantee? Like when US forbid UAE to use F-16 in Lybia? etc. Modern? In what?

    :eagerness:

The still serving chairman of Dassault is a felon convicted on bribery charges.

Not anymore chairman for years. And trial broken by european court. Anything else?

Yes but their system is more transparent especially in terms of pricing. And they don’t have any single national champion unlike Europe where the defence companies & the national govts are nearly indistinguishable.

So negotiating with the French state for example is not very different from negotiating with Dassault. In contrast, there isn’t a lot of flexibility with the Americans but the MoD/GoI can be relatively confident that the price is reasonable and more importantly, that the deal wouldn’t come back to bite them in the rear in the future. So that tends to move things along.

    Anyother ignorant stupidity to claim?

AAQ-37 is not a simple MWS though , given that it can cue weapon , it should be at least able to distinguish aircraft at close distance. With 1 degrees angular accuracy , even at distance of merely 5 km ,your resolution would be about 87 meters , that ways too big to distingush anything.
1 degrees resolution wont give you this

Actually resolution seem not so good as compare to DDM-NG eg. Of course these are commercial pictures, but 3D rendering is impressive… Didn’t see the sun in any of the picture. Missed it or…?
