Did i miss something or no mention of European EFCAS?
Lets stick to facts. The only time Rafale (Rafale thread here) and F35 were evaluated, difference between F3 standard and F35 was marginal. And now Rafale is going to F3-R standard while F35 was downgraded on several aspects. I dont mean that Rafale is a superior plane, but there is no huge gap.

Interesting quote from a boeing official on vanguardcanada (Mike Gibbons) : USN likely to fly SH in the 2050 time frame.
Considering AdlA will, with minor upgrades, enhance service life of some 2000-5F by 2000 hours, it seems fairly logical that indian will be also albeit no clue. Refurbishing the whole electrical system of a plane is way more complicated and extensive then an engine imho
No changes of aircraft systems lol full electric system, mizsion system, radar etc. And since when qatr possess -9? I wouldnt trust that source too much. Btw some -5F seeing their lofe expanded vy 2000 hours…
There is no blocking point, ToT is simply a very complicated story, as indian input will ramp up.
Well why? whatever define F-35 good or bad is the very definition of ‘5th gen’TM
Tsss bad bad boy :dev2:
Scooter, you keep talking all the ime of 5th gen, but what is YOUR definition of 5th Gen (no trolling intended)?
Someone more reknowned then scooter, whatevqer are his opinions.
Only a 6th gen preproject (EFCAS)
No it doese not say that. There were two articles in two days in FT
Same thing, Gripen was dropped during technical evaluation… And sea Gripen is a pure paper plane.

Rob Hewson, an aviation weapons specialist at industry analysts IHS Jane’s, says that some of Typhoon’s close competitors carry a more versatile arsenal of weaponry, with missiles ranging from those that penetrate deep into the ground to those whose accuracy make them better at avoiding civilian casualties when ground targets are in towns and cities.
“The reason Typhoon lost in India is that Rafale can actually do so much more and the Indians actually do need to fight a war,” he says, noting that the war in Libya, Typhoon’s first deployment, showed the limit of its narrow range of air-to-surface weapons.
Anw, Su30 MKI will be upgraded to “super sukhoi”, no?
