You did miss the story with Dassault using erroneous hourly rate in the MMRCA submission, did you?

How horrific! Nice to see you’re found of fairy tales as far as Dassault (or anyother fench thing for instance) has the wron role in it… Were you traumatized by french as you were very young?

The Serbs showed what an open panel does to the stealth of a stealth jet. Minor error you say but in a war zone, that’s a fatal mistake.

I’m not reknown as a F-35 fanboy, but honestly this could hapen on any type.

As for F-35 and Recce: Spudmanwp is one of our local experts on F-35, if you disagree with him it would be nice to see some links to back up your statements…

Nothing new in this letter. It simply mentions a 20% discount on Eurofighter which was talked during/just after MMRCA. The numbers given are pure speculation/misinformation. Few weeks ago, a former in India told us to w&ait for imminent mud slinging campaign. He was right
Only two memebers of the commission disareed on the cost calculation.
Every other agreed and selected Rafale as L1 bidder.
Case closed. The Rafale is cheaper than Eurofighter. (and F-35!!!)

One of the reasons why the F-35 uses C++ is to keep the processors cheap and the development time low.

I thought it was to generate bugs during development (error prone language)… How naive i was…

Rumours are talking of a further 12 batch of RAfale early dec. (arouind the 7/12) for Macron visit.

Qataris likely think of it as insurance to insulate them from western criticism for financing terror groups.

It was a shrewd move to sucker Bush into moving USAF from Prince Sultan to Al Udeid.

    Because Saudi did not? Hilarious.

F-35 will be ranked first on technical specifications, and it will be cheaper than either Rafale or Typhoon.

In your dreams. Swiss are serious people, and they apply risk coefficients to yet undeveloped technical features. See Gripen MS21… That means Block 3F will compete, at best (not yet IOT&E tested…). About cost, iwont bother answering, plaiin lie. Linked hdar hundreds of times the actual official costs of Rafale… WAY lower than actual F-35 cost (using SDD value for example). Not to talk about maintenance costs… (which plagued the typhoon btw)

Dave IS probably the front runner. Still, lifetie costs may not be its strongest point and budget is limited to about 100 million/aircraft.

Isn’t it a non issue? Even if it was a missile, no plane is unstoppable or fully invisible, missile can be “lucky” etc. So what?

Most certainly not, it will be the one to beat. It might be the only fighter competition in the world that the least “offensive” capable aircraft has an edge because of, well, that.

Not so sure. Context is very different, Ueli Maurer isn’t there anymore etc.

    Some are not convinced:

Era is still pursuing Airbus Helicopters through the courts, arguing that it was sold helicopters with a known safety defect, a position the manufacturer vehemently disputes.

Everything is said. Offshore oil market is in pretty bad shape and trying to make money…
