I just did not understand why you popped Le Figaro and Dassault here. Nvm.

Omgz Serge Dassault is doddery, and nothing to do with it. You could also mention that Malbrunot was hostae but nvm. Your agenda has always been to criticize Dassault, i don’t know the **** what it has to do with the topic…

Thought so. Business Insider is often a little Sputnikish.

In fact, they quote an article of Georges Malbrunot, a journalist political expert of Middle East, who himself believed some rumours… Not their fault this time.

Ols widely debunked story. Te day the raid happened, µIsraeli F-35 did not have started night flights… Malbrunot is anything but a defense journalist.

Yes such a plan could take place. But need a VERY careful planning so as not to leave “gaps”.

ok. Ty. I’m bit lost in translation. What would be an incremental IOT&E?

I do understand your point. However, one can be defiant at alloting huge contracts before milestone C no? (Keep in mind i’m talkiing about the program manage!ent, not final product). Frankly, considering for example the software issues and the reallocation of old test points to new standards, etc. seems pretty risky. Program is late, would it be so dangerous to let it slip another 1 year in order to clean every potential weakness before wantin to start building F4 on a standard not yet fully debunked and tested? In the end it could alter the end product quality/capabilities. Honestly, management seem more event than capabilities driven atm.
As said aboe, take it as a point of view, nothing more.

Have to disagree FBW. Accelerating process BEFORE independant testing (OT&E and milestone C) is just crazy. (my opinion , not God’s truth)

I had some first hand infos a few moths ago. Former prime minister went against its defence experts and air force soa as to favour F-16 (brivery allgations). New president is a former pilot and tries to cancel that into saab acquisition. But everything will depend on new gov.

Again “cheating” to stick on timeline?

Because of the delays to ALIS 2.0.2, some of the capability for the next version of the system, ALIS 3.0, has been offloaded to the later version, called ALIS 4.0.

ALIS 3.0 is still planned to be fielded in early 2018 in time to close out the program’s system development and demonstration phase. Valentine said the focus of ALIS 3.0 was including key user enhancements seen as critical for wrapping up the system development and demonstration phase — including improved data transfer software that reduces the time it takes to load large files and tools that filter out redundant information — as well as security updates.

The new ALIS 4.0 version will be completed a year later for an early 2019 fielding
