The purchase of fighter a/c is often quite political — some countries do not have fighters at all, in particular the Baltic countries (in spite of having Russia as close neighbor).

Belgium is a NATO member having only friendlies as neighbors. Thus in theory Belgium could decide to leave the QRA duty to other countries and instead spend their defence money on other aspects, be it UCAVs, submarines, special forces, or whatnot.

Or they can decide (as they have done) to fly fighters.

Even then the question remains; what kind of fighters? fighters to do QRA only, or fighters that can survive in high-threat environments? This is a political question, due to Belgium’s NATO membership.

The answer is given in the RFP: Belgium wants (and requests) a modern, very potent multirole fighter jet that can successfully complete a whole range of missions, including in quite high-threat environments.

This, together with a strong wish to be compatible with other NATO forces point in one direction: The F-35.

Anyway as stated before: I hope the Belgians will present high-level summaries like the Danes did; perhaps someone will be surprised when they see the Rafale results 😉

    Maybe. I hope either!!!

Nope, Daily Mail – with the copy of the article on DM’s website pulled out from the WebArchive.org. And it looks much more credible than your WH and mainstream corporate media bull****, especially in the light of the latest events.

And if you have nothing better this this bull****, cooming from WH and CNN, then you’re obvious and brainless tool of propaganda who’s trying to make poor excuses to this obvious False Flag situation.

Daily Mail quoting Infowars… nuff said…

LMAO on the Freedom of Press. Daily Mail has deleted its article saying: U.S. ‘backed plan to launch chemical weapon attack on Syria and blame it on Assad’s regime’

Free Press my a$$, damn hypocrites.

Let’s play a little game here Scar:

    1. So far, the alleged use of nerve agents (claims from both sides) have involved what method? A. binary B. unitary

    2. Why would storing mixed precursors be difficult for the jihadi’s as claimed? How does sarin need to be contained once mixed?

    3. If we are talking about binary agents being in a depot, does the Russian/Syrian story of the strike hold water? Why?

    4. How do nations dispose of Sarin and precursors?

    5. Explain the mechanism for bombs causing a widespread plume of Sarin to aerosol through a neighborhood but not ignite the gas, or degrade it?

Binary was only used afaik byUS (using di-di- synthesis). Much safer.

In any case, precursors are hard to synthetize, purify or purchase (monitored by the “australia” group)

mixed precursosrs will give” you sarin + strong acid + impurities. Either you purify, either it is fairly unstable (few weeks). One can also try to stabilize (relatively) adding buffering reagents such as amines.

If it is binary no, story do not strikestory do not hold water.

Generally speaking, incinerating or exploding them in a confined oven.

    5 YES, explain please!

    Yes.

First of all, vapor is way different to aerosol. artillery shells or air ammunitions (yes, specifically designed). Bomb accidently falling on a depot? Funny. MR i know better, do you stock sarin per se? Look at the Aum sect attck. Several kgs in a tube station and so few casualties…

Pure bull**** for ignorant village idiots. Sarin, as many other poison gases, very easily change its state into a vapor or aerosol which even more easily may be dispersed by the shockwave damaging and sending to flight the container it’s stored in. That’s why it was widely used in artillery and other munitions where the low-power HE-charge made it an aerosol and in the same time disperesed around the area of explosion.

And only housewives aren’t aware of these basic facts about sarin and chemical munitions in general.

No (for vapour). It needs a lot of heat to boil AND a dissemination reagent.
BTw, not sure at all it is SARIN

US regime struck unintentionally? How about the strikes carried out by Rafale’s of the French regime last year which killed nearly/over 200 in Syria? You are really exceptional mr.expert.

Give me ONE clue. Pure BS.

Don’t let politicians and main-stream Western media fool you. This “chemical attack” is an ideal, pure and blatant invitation for US/NATO invasion. And given this fact, Assad is the last man on Earth who may benefit from it. In this particular case, i tend to believe to the version of our MoD. TLDR: Syrian AF accidently hit the storage full of chemical agents.

These type of chemical agents are dual components and are never stocked per se. Many weird things about that story.

I don’t think you are likely to receive a different response from the one you got last month.

Did not see the answer, sorry. Will try to check.

It does share the same tiny nose of Replica. Adds support to the idea that BAE were working on a different approach to radar distribution.

Despite being one of the sensible options costwise, i doubt F-18 will be even offered to Belgium. Belgic asked for a “package” to other governments, do you think USA will offer it?
