thats a really piece of art

Thanks nibb100, a very logical answer..yes, the reflection would be incredible.
Jeff
no, that doesnt matter. It was the wish of the costumer to paint the wing in light grey and its looks uncredible good.
Here a picture of my flight with a polished p-51 over the black forest. Again, the high polish look lasts only a few flights, after that the plane will weather in a incredible form. In my eyes, after a few flights it looks really perfect

and thats how the plane looks after a year flightexperience 🙂

The “project corner” . In the foreground the TF-51 project, followed by the Spitfire T9 project. On the right side the Corsair. She´s getting some electrical “updates”. Beside the Corsair you ca see Rob Lamploughs magnificent P-51 “Miss Helen”. There is some work concerning the avionics.

TF-51 project …. what a beauty

At the shop there are sometimes other birds than warbirds. Here a Piper Archer II. The plane got a big maintenance, complete new finish and of course a new interior. In the background Miss Helen and the Corsair

Miss Helen and the Flying Nightmare

Im affraid I have to agree, the cockpit green looks a litte strange, and as for the green instrument panels!!!!!!!!!!!
The restauration and paintjob was not done at the MeierMotors shop. The bipe was restored by the former owner over several years. Now the new owner will decide further steps 😉

some details concerning the main gear
something special :dev2: …. teeth to bite those Hurricans and Spitfires :dev2:

just kidding …. these teeth are for adjusting the wheel alignment

after adjusting the wheel alignment, both parts are screwed together with that “ring” in the middle. The ring is tapped clockwise on one side and counterclockwise on the other. In my opinion a simple but perfect solution … typical German craftmanship
