Mog does of course have a valid point, manufacturers wouldn’t spend billions a year if it wasn’t working.

I remember Horace Batchelor’s Infra Draw pool’s plan almost word for word from Radio Luxembourg way back in the late 50’s early 60’s

‘Horace Batchelor, Department One, Keynsham, spelt K-E-Y-N-S-H-A-M, Bristol”.

I would have been about 4 or five years old, my older sister used to listen to it under the bedclothes with her little transistor radio, so some things obviously do stick.

I must admit to having a whisky decanter that keeps emptying itself. I don’t remember why…

People will believe anything if they want to believe it badly enough. Flying saucers, ghosts, an afterlife, witchcraft, religion, all a load of carp but some people need to believe something to give their life a purpose, and I don’t have a problem with that at all but I get a bit peeved when the media give it some kind of credibility.

If I may quote Mr Barnum ‘There’s one born every minute.’

That rings a bell Joe, he used to fly out to Leipzig a bit. Slightly OT another one of our club guys flys 757’s out of Leipzig for DHL, never knew that it was their headquarters. Apparently it’s quite a place (the DHL hub that is)

Not ‘done’ Cornwall yet. Anybody recommend some airfields? Min 500 metres.

Trust me I lived in Germany for three years, there was the odd bar we would not dare to go in as for the owner and customers the war had not ceased, merely been put on a back burner.

I’ve experienced that, and been spat on when I went in the ‘wrong’ bar which was frequented by ex SS.

I might add though that apart from the odd nastiness I liked living in Germany.

We missed it because we pay more council tax in the southwest and our council paid for a warmer airmass for us.

Have had nothing but a smattering of snow in Lincoln either. What we did get didn’t settle.
