Dismay re Aeroplane Monthly

While recognising Aeroplane Monthly were perfectly within their rights to publish a fraction of this extensive report, it is to be greatly regretted that the editorial team there felt unable to pick up the phone to OFMC and warn them in advance.

Had we not found out through visiting this forum first, odds are the first Ray would of known about this would have been when he picked up a copy of the magazine at an airport newsagents, probably been rather chuffed that it had a picture of his beloved P-40 on the front, then sat down to find the accident report.

Nice.

We always respond freely and openly to aviation magazines when they call asking us for information and have been asked for latest updates by Aeroplane 3 or 4 times already this year. The print deadline was 6 weeks ago. They could have called and they SHOULD have called. It was thoughtless, unkind and disrespectful not to.
