Apparently MGM are releasing Battle of Britain, 633 Squafron and Mosquito Squadron on DVD in May.

I forgot to add, it’s region 1 only with no extras but is the widescreen version.

Hi David
You top man..I have been watching the film on a regular basis since the middle 80’s, and I have never spotted him, I have just checked my copy and you are absolutely correct, there is only about 30 seconds of him but he is there.
Hi seafury fan
That’s the great thing about dvd players, most of them anyway, they are easy to multi region, I think its great that big company’s get together and spend millions of pounds/ dollars to design something to stop people watching things they are not meant to see and with a few presses of buttons away you go, he he he. I have to admit that I don’t own a copy of dark blue world. However if anyone is interested I rented it from blockbusters a few weeks ago it’s a cracking film

Beware First Releases!
Watch out Forum readers!
Companies have a habit of releasing old editions, only to release a ‘with goodies’ edition shortly afterwards. If you can afford to wait a bit…….wait a bit!
Yes, wouldn’t it be good if our emails pestered them into releasing it….:)
Dezz, I bought Dark Blue World on region 1 because it was immediately avaiable and had ‘goodies’ on it. I have also been able to hack my Region 2 player to go region free….

Dezz,
Sir Michael Redgrave played the part of AVM Evill. You see him (I think, I haven’t seen the film for a while – I’m waiting for the DVD) right after the Poles on a training mission go a bit mad. He gives Larry Olivier “I was wrong about the Poles” figures for overseas pilots who could now go into battle.

RE: Dark Blue World
Ok, let me get this straight.
Dark Blue World, is it available in the UK, in the shops (not mail order etc).
Also, does it have all the extras?
Thanks, Ted.

RE: Dark Blue World
How come you are all buying dark blue world on import when it’s available on region 2, does it have anything different to the one you can get over here?
And seeing as we are on the subject of BoB film, as some of you know I have seen the film more times than I care to remember, may be I am just stupid….but where the hell is Michael Redgrave in it!! Or was he one of the pilots in the missing extra squadron never featured, if so why is his name in the credits? I know that I should have asked Mr Rudhall at the get-together but I was in the middle of a stinking cold and not feeling my usual self….anyway, since I first saw this post I have been searching the internet for conformation of this forthcoming release and have, as yet, been unable to find it, I have however found that as well as 633 squadron and mosquito squadron they are, at the same time, realising “THE DAM BUSTERS” on dvd!!! How cool is that!! As for BoB if they just release it in wide screen I will be happy….on second thoughts no I wont, I want extras as well!!…loads of them!!
Dezz 🙂

RE: Dark Blue World
Great news about BoB. I got Dark Blue World for Christmas (import from Canada), it’s got some great extras including “Aerial Symphony”, lots of unused BoB clips set to music!

RE: Battle of Britain DVD
Bang goes my pocket money. Bah. Gonna have to get a DVD player too.
You know what? I bought the video of Airforce a few months back, went to look at it the other week, the guy put the wrong tape in! AIR FORCE ONE. Fool.
