The other thread has been quiet for quite a while so I thought I’d try again as the last few days in GD have been a bit depressing!;)

Hi All,
Had another visit by Keith Woodcock and his wife Shirley today always nice to see them both and they brought my commission of the Family pets for my wife’s Christmas present that Shirley drew excellent work and well impressed with the finished product I was so next year twist the wife’s arm well and truly up her back and have Keith do a commission for me.
Always have a good natter about his latest projects love hearing about the research that goes into each creation get to know some interesting odd facts along the way but just a top bloke to talk to in general he and his wife have a great sense of humour so we all have a giggle when he has been down so all in all a good Christmas has already started. :eagerness:

This letter in the paper today about the costs to the NHS of private commercial consultants, made me smile – broadly!
SIR – When I worked for the businessman Sir Arnold Weinstock, he maintained that you could hire management consultants any time you wanted – but your resignation had to accompany the request.

Hi All,
Acquiring an early Philip West print Dallas Doll 325/850 bought by the previous owner at Duxford 2002 for £10 and in excellent framed condition, Personaly I think he is a very much underrated artist who has produced a lot of outstanding work in particular his Primary Target – Dambuster print which I also have. 😉

Hi All,
An update from Laurent Boulestin on the Lancaster NX644 restoration, proof that not everybody ignores my e-mails and restored faith to keep plugging away. 😀

certainly did, with the additional hope that 32 young people, may have gained an additional interest in aviation that they weren’t expecting at the start of their day – they all seemed to have a great time looking round inside the Wessex!
What was also nice was that this was a repeat visit by the school – so we must be doing something right!!
