Incidentally, in the 60’s/70’s there wasn’t much on TV until the evenings; apparently it started with the kids programmes and carried on from there.

Many of the so-called adult documentary/information programmes I want to watch seem to be made for children. Nothing against that if they are for children but they are shown at 9.00PM. Programme makers seem to assume that we are all children now, with short attention spans. Bizarre.:mad:

Ah, sorry, yes of course…..I was travelling a great deal and working away from home in the late 60s and seventies and didn’t see a great deal of TV and rarely until the evenings, hence my vague recollection. I think he played a major part in the setting up of independent television.
