The other thread has been quiet for quite a while so I thought I’d try again as the last few days in GD have been a bit depressing!;)

Two days ago – – SHRIMPY.
Ok let me explain. We inherited some fish off a friend who was moving and amongst them was a shrimp. We have had it for about two years and a 3 weeks ago it just disappeared.I cleaned the aquarium out no sign of it.As daft as it sounds watching a shrimp moving around and feeding is quite quite nice.
Two days ago it just suddenly appeared ,as i had cleaned the tank out i have no idea where it went but now it’s back.:)

More accurately, the female vocalist 🙂

Linc
Absolutely brilliant.
My Dad always said he had an Indian with wind up gears. I have yet to prove or disprove.
Unfortunately he passed away filling his baccy pouch and apparently fell amongst the EMPTY home made wine bottles some 25 years ago.
Still brings a smile to my face.
RIP Dad

Whilst on about Motor Cycles, anyone seen “The fastest Indian?” Anthony Hopkins at his best. One of the best films I have watched in a long time.

Good to hear Linc, glad all is running better.
Yes I believe you are right about John Surtees.
I was trying to emulate the late great Fritz Sheideger (wrong spelling I’m sure) on racing chairs. My passenger never forgave me for blowing it at ‘South BanK’ and this was my third and final race. Hey ho!
I still hurt when its the cold and have been told it will only get worse. The foolishness of teenage years. But enjoyed every minute till I hit the ground at about 110 mph. Stupid boy.
Keep smiling
Bob

Hi Bob, Yes thank you, Have another appointment next week,
What about John Surtees?, he was the only one, IIRC to win a F1 Championship and Motor cycle world champion.
Life can’t get much better than that.
Jim.
Lincoln .7…………………………….Bob, had an oil and filter chnge today, and running a lot better…:)

Linc, hope all worked as well as possible for you yesterday.
Mike Hailwood 1966, Isle of Man, John Surtees – Brands Hatch. If only I could aspire to a quarter of their talent! Rolled an outfit at Brands that made headlines in Motorcycle News, my claim to fame!
For me today, our 89 yr old neighbour who had a massive stroke last week, recognised me, said my name as clear as day and gurgled with laughter. Life can’t get much better than that.
My glass is more than half full.

If you do take piccies post them in the Duxford thread.:)
Naaa ,they’re not planes so they won’t interest the spotters over there :dev2: Saw this there at an auction .No thats NOT me sitting on it,i doubt they would let anyone near it.
Made me smile when i heard it sold for £62,000 ,John Surtees and Mike Hailwood with more provenance than some of the aircraft at Duxford 🙂

As ditzy grandparents we keep a bike for our little granddaughter to ride when she’s at our house, present bike getting too small, today we found a like new secondhand bike, proper girly bike, the big smile and hugs we got from that little girl will keep both me and my missus smiling for a while.

Easier said than done Chas. I just wish I had a friend who could come with me, I know I will forget most of what he tells me.

Ignore us now, Linc. Get your head clear, take your paperwork and tell him the whole story. And then listen to the advice you are paying for and ask if you are not clear or not satisfied.

I know you guys are trying to cheer me up, but I am dreading today, I feel as if I am a Criminal, and going to Court myself. I still have very mixed emotions, which isn’t helping. Soon be 14.00 hrs now, when I see the solicitor.
