Legends participants

OK, a question that is probably at the back (or front)of many of our minds…

Does anybody know what it booked for Flying Legends, it cropped up amongst the Southend Catalina thread and probably deserves one of its own! We are all aware that the good people of the Fighter Collection like to keep the more exotic aircraft a suprise, to keep us guessing and to prevent dissapointment, a wise move all in all 🙂 . That said, is there any info out there about which of the more familliar ‘acts’ will be flying? As was pointed out on the other thread, by now there would normally be a list of provisional flying visitors plus a hint about ‘something completely different 🙂 etc…

This is in no way meant to be a complaint, just curiosity 😀

Apparently she is undergoing engine runs at the moment but the one I’m really looking forward to seeing will be the Fw200 Condor that is booked to fly in formation with the Constellation over the weekend, the only thing holding her up is CAA paperwork allegedly.

BTW, this must all be true as I heard it from a bloke down the pub who knows someone who overheard a conversation on a bus etc… 😉

I heard that they secretly have nine Hawks and have painted them all red and will be flying them in tight formation.

A certain Hawk 75 and P39 “Brooklyn Bum” should leave Chino before the 18th of this month destined for Legends.

Hello VRA, is this official information from TFC or Fighter Rebuilders or the people doing the Hawk?

Very Droll Janie, very Droll 😀

I personally dont want to know what’ll be there. I want to be surprised if/when I get in.

If IWM dont make a comment regarding the parking fiasco beforehand however I probably wont be going.

We will just have to wait, a bit like Christmas. If you pull the paper off early, it spoils the surprise.

It never fails to amaze me, how Tony Ditheridge’s lads manage to turn out such stunning restorations time after time. Looks like this one will be no exception to that rule.

This will be the best and most authentic Hurricane yet, everything is back in it from it’s operational days, an amazing machine.
