Legends participants

Maybe if you dropped TFC an email and asked if they had a list of expected aircraft that you could post here. They can only say no, your just have to wait 🙂

I’ll be arriving Friday morning. Then, down to the Red Lion to put the bench in position before heading for Duxford to do whatever needs doing with the 609 Marquee, then perhaps watch a few arrivals before heading to the hotel and getting ready for the 609 veterans meal. Then saturday is up nice and early, over to Duxford, do whatever and see a few aircraft later. Satruday night, another veterans meal, then in the morning its the bench unveiling (to which all of you are invited) before heading back up to the airfield. Home Sunday evening…

I’m gonna do the whole weekend! Get there friday, go to show saturday and sunday, drive home sunday night. hmmmm…. 😉 😉 😉

Once they’ve got your money at the gate, they can make all the excuses they want about want HASN’T turned up!!!

Well Albert you have three choices:

1. Be among the first to see the extraordinary and unique line up of warbirds (yes – weather and servicability permitting) by coming on the Saturday.

2. Wait and see what is posted here on the Saturday evening and decide if you want to come on the Sunday and be in the second batch of people to see these amazing aircraft.

3.Don’t bother coming at all.

I hope you go for option 1 – I will be 🙂

I think that last comment most unfair.

FL is one of the shows where Maximum Effort has some meaning.

If their is one organisation and show that aims to give us what we want then this has to be it. I actually like the idea of a real surprise, even with the facilities of the internet to thwart the show organisers they generally manage a bit of an eye brow raiser at the very least.

All we really need worry about is the weather. I would presume that show content is assured.

Perhaps due to a lack of warbirds they need a crowd pleaser? Face it, you can buy tons of sunday market stuff at Legends, it’s a family day, and so on. The Falcons are good, if you like that sort of thing (I don’t personally, but thats irrelevant), and if it increases footfall, fair enough. Just as long as they don’t fly in the balbo I wouldn’t have any reason to criticise it.

I only wrote what I saw on that link. But I must agree that they don’t really fit in the theme of the Flying Legends Airshow. So we will have to wait and see about this team.

Al I could find from booked planes was the DC3, Spitfire MKIIa an Huricane MKIIc of BBMF and the Jordanian Falcons (extra 300).

Also as previously told on this forum is that the swiss based Lockheed Super Constellation is going to attend the show.
