Now that really would be nice, it’s a fantastic restoration complete with the same Merlin III (rebuilt in the UK) that it was fitted with at the time of it’s retirement all those years ago.

the aircraft is having its fuselage fabriced today, wasnt the TFCs hurricane at this same status this time last year?

I’m not a bit suprised by your experiences when arriving from Baldock.
I can remember a time when if you wanted to leave straight after the show , you were sent left to Baldock wether you liked it or not,so you ended up with people turning left driving about half a mile then doing suicidal U turns to get into the flow towards the M11 roundabout.
I suffered this a couple of times although i used to take the first right turn a double back roud the country lanes,on one occasion i asked the policeman if i could turn right, to which he replied “I’LL F***IN book you if you don’t keep moving” charming i thought!! especially since he hadn’t yet stopped the Baldock bound traffic !!

Just had a go at the police on another thread, but didn’t realise they were stoping people from Boldock turning right !! thats just bonkers. Just to clarify, did you have to go all the way up to the M11 roundabout and then back down, then turning left?

Yes, I was being a bit unfair as I always do enjoy Legends and I know they try for something different each year. The biggest problem this year seems to be the Cambridgeshire Police’s idea of ‘traffic control’ which caused absolute havoc at the Duxford D-Day show today. Unless someone can reassure me I WILL be allowed to turn RIGHT into the first gate coming from Baldock, and not join the chaos coming off the M11, I won’t be going!

Well Albert you have three choices:

1. Be among the first to see the extraordinary and unique line up of warbirds (yes – weather and servicability permitting) by coming on the Saturday.

2. Wait and see what is posted here on the Saturday evening and decide if you want to come on the Sunday and be in the second batch of people to see these amazing aircraft.

3.Don’t bother coming at all.

I will be there Friday setting up and proberly only leave for the pub over the weekend. I will be on the exit gate to the flightline walk so you have no excuse not to say hello. My other half I believe is seeling Tshirts so buy one off her.

I shall be there with the other half and the relos, but only Saturday (as stated elsewhere, I’ll probably miss the Rasta Cat! :()

Say no more, this has been proven year in and year out regardless of what aircraft attend. I love a surprise coupled with some old favourites and perhaps some aircraft only seen in Europe. Legends has served this up time and time again and we can only congratulate TFC for their tireless efforts to keep up and improve on their high standards with each successive event.
