If this is true and is as is being described in the media the News of the World should be closed down. I know we need a free press but this ???
Disgracefull, disgusting, i cant think of words to describe my feelings.

Excrement throwing is the last thing this matter needs. In fact that is just taking the debate down to the level of the proles for whose benefit the hacking took place.
Cold incisive interrogation is what is required.

Yes he was pagen and he is still to turn up tomorrow. I feel excrement throwing is on the cards!
BTW
Odds on Cameron Resigning slashed from 100/1 to 20/1.(and that was before Yates went)

Yates gone now!

Anybody else as worried as I am about Ms Brooks parents’ inability to spell?

Is there a UK version of “pleading the Fifth” or is it going to be just a “no comment ” interview from Ms Brooks tomorrow?
By: Sky High - 18th July 2011 at 11:44
Pagen – I respect your honesty in making that admission! The only time I “looked” at a copy, reading being too strong a word for it, was when the newsagent delivered the Sun once during the Times’ strike!
I wish the politicians would leave it to the police and the lawyers. Tomorrows “hearings” will be an irrelevant sideshow for the MPs benefit – no one else’s.
I reckon the populace will have lost interest and/or forgotten about it by the end of the Summer.
There are many other arguably far more pressing matters requiring the government’s time.
By: Sky High - 18th July 2011 at 07:19
No idea what you are talking about………….:confused:And I am also becoming more than a little irritated by sanctimonious politicians, many of whom have either hobnobbed with the satanic press or had their heads in the trough – or both – now defecating on the very people they were in bed with a few weeks previously.
If people have broken the law, whomever they are, they should be prosecuted and jailed. But don’t lets pretend that the public who, in their millions, buy and read the salacious gossip, give a damn.

Anyone see Mr Clarkson’s thoughts in the Sun yesterday ? Better the devil you know when it comes to his employer???? Never mind the rest of his BS in that column, that takes the limit ….does he live in the real world ?

& the head copper resigns!
By: Sky High - 16th July 2011 at 14:15
Yes, indeed – Cap’n Bob could almost be reinvented as a favourite uncle – well, almost. 😉 And his life, prior to allowing the wealth to dominate him, was one of courage and conviction.

CD – of course I realised that. And I spotted your :diablo:!!;);) Are any of us taken in by Murdoch’s public apology?? Saving skin comes to mind…………or am I just too cynical? I pity anyone with the name Murdoch these days – guilt by association??;)

You do know why I used the term “Gotcha!” in this particular instance, don’t you?
Ah, yes! It hadn’t actually occurred to me at the time but I now get the connection…
…are you saying that she too deserved to get blown out of the water while protesting her innocence? :diablo:
You do (Sky High too) realise that nowhere did I say that due process shouldn’t be followed? I just pointed out that US citizenship wouldn’t prevent the guilty going to jail. 😉
I also put one of these things (:diablo:) after my comment(s); I thought that meant that ‘wot I rote’ wasn’t to be taken (too) seriously.
Did Rebekah Brooks resign of her own free will or was she hounded out by media fuelled public pressure and without a fair trial? :diablo:
By: Sky High - 15th July 2011 at 17:12
Yes, I think we do….perhaps we are all closet red top readers!!:diablo:
By: Grey Area - 15th July 2011 at 16:43
While I, in turn, invite you to consider the difference between someone resigning from their job and someone being imprisoned without trial.
We’re an inviting bunch, aren’t we?
ps…. You do know why I used the term “Gotcha!” in this particular instance, don’t you?
By: Creaking Door - 15th July 2011 at 15:55
Gotcha! 😎
I invite you to consider the meaning of the term ‘due process! :diablo:
By: Creaking Door - 15th July 2011 at 15:27
It was a mock eBay listing of News International.
By: jbritchford - 15th July 2011 at 14:07
I want to know what is it as well now! 😀
By: paul178 - 15th July 2011 at 13:47
Still there 8 hours later, Moggy!!
Gone now!(Whatever it was)
By: Grey Area - 14th July 2011 at 17:15
We can still lock them up; even with US citizenship. :diablo:
I invite you to consider the meaning of the term “due process”. 😎
