Right then. Saturday’s fast approaching, and I’m looking forward to it immensely. Me and JN-4 will be there, as will various others apparently. From what I can make out, the flying starts at 1830 and goes on until 2000, after which the tentative plan was to retire to a pub to ply Mr Patterson with Old Speckled Hen (while we check his luggage for hidden Spitfires, Lancasters and Sea Hawks! 😉 )
So – three questions:
1 – Who’s coming?
2 – Where are we all meeting?
3 – What time?
I’ll invite the more frequent OW attendees to make the decisions… 😉
Oh, and Airbedane, could you possibly indent for some nice sunny weather for us all please? Ta muchly! 😀

Anyone know why Denny Dobson doesn’t have 45 degree indicators on his wingtips as many of the aeros aircraft do?

The First evening display of the year at Old Warden was yet another superb display, despite the best efforts of some soggy ground. We saw the reappearance of an old friend in new clothes and a new formation duo.
A big thanks once again to all involved, roll on the D-Day show.

Bet it wasn’t a great day for the Anson crew. Now you see why runways need to be rolled

Shame you missed it, it’s been a great day. Especially seeing the Anson get bogged in.

Sorry failed miserably in getting to Old Warden, hope you all had fun. I didn’t land back at Hardwick until 16.15, so at this point was already late so decided to roll the runway instead to take some of the winter ruts out of it. I will fly again in the morning to see if I was successful or not.

My plan is to be at Old Warden tomorrow, however I may not make it until after 4, it all depends on how the day goes, otherwise I will look out for you all.

I’ll be there during the day but have family commitments in the evening. Still there’s always the beer tent.
JDK can you ensure that SP doesn’t provide the colonies with anymore of our national treasures, especially Grosvenor House or AR501.

Saturday..
Mrs Andy in Beds and I will be there.
We’ll make the beer tent rather than changing the plan.
See you there at about 16.00hrs.

Rumour has it that Andy in Beds may have a Stars n’ stripes bedecked set of chairs by the line to RV at if the beer tent don’t work. Choices, choices!
Can you confirm or deny, Andy?
Cheers

Once or twice…
Per month…
For the last decade or so…
By: JDK - 14th May 2004 at 13:37
I know the way to Old Warden, rather well… 😉
By: JDK - 14th May 2004 at 13:22
Steve and I will be there by 5pm, but may not make 4. Still we are quite identifiable. He’s the one with a Hurricane shaped bulge in his pocket, and I WON’T be wearing tyres.

Bumping this back up…
So, plan appears to be:
16:00 at the beer tent.
Be there or be thirsty. 😉

By: JDK - 13th May 2004 at 21:25
I’ll be there, as will Steve P, and Mr & Mrs Andy in Beds.
