One of the kids brought this around for me to watch…don’t usually go for these type of movies… but i gotta tell you i don’t think i’ve laughed so loud and so hard for many a year…it’s bloody hilarious…i highly recommend it

Just watched this and was not that impressed,very predicable story and end more predictable ending.
Not the worst film I have ever seen and fills in 100mins sat at work .
5/10 must try harder.

It’s a dreadful 2 ½ hr long advert for toys. Some very (IMO) age inappropriate language, convoluted plot, we’ve got the Uber Orb for all time. Ah, but we have the energiser bunny, for all time, yadda yadda…… poor, very poor.

dreadful, truely dreadful sequel (as they often are) and two hours (and £35 for family of 4 ticket) that I want back !

I don’t have a clue about what the people say :confused:, but I like what I saw.

Not really a film in the true sense of the word, but a nice one-off, isn’t it?

Ahh, Steve, you’re delving into my territory now. Kevin Smith’s movies are generally laugh-out-loud funny (Clerks, Clerks 2, Chasing Amy, Dogma, and Mallrats. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is only really for the completists, but still tickles a few ribs….)

Watched this with the Mrs last night…it’s her favourite all time classic!!!

I was frog-marched to the cinema by a 12 yr old boy and forced to watch ‘Terminator the Salvation’.

Its not a classic is it ? HUGE elements of the plot contrived, action pieces well staged but not quite the cult to mainstream classics that the first two were. It’s interesting that they try and throw in new elements to a story that you know (Something George Lucas failed to do BIG time in his lame prequals) but I left wondering why I hadn’t waited for the DVD !

The overall experience leaves you feeling as though you have been mugged. People you don’t recognise suddenly appear, there is a lot of violence and shouting, you cringe in mortal terror, you sob with relief when it is all over.
And at the end of the evening, you have much less money than when you set out.

‘Confusing’ is the word which springs to mind. The two primary protaganists, Christian Bale and Sam Worthington, have such similar square jaws, buzzcuts, and three day stubble that they seem to be the same person. Some of the time. But they may not be. Or they might have gone back in time, or maybe forward.

Towards the end, the Governer of Califonia appears, but his schedule must have been so rushed that he forgot to put his clothes on. It is far removed for the original Terminator plot, which was quite simple, yet compelling in its brutal simplicity.

Special effects are outstanding, and the gigantic robots and flying machines are incredible. Intersting to see a nod to ‘Star Wars’ as a rebel A.10 chases a robot aerial battleship through a deep canyon.

In the end, it all goes a bit ‘James Bond’, as the freedom fighters break into enemy (Skynet) base, set a bomb, leap into a handy helicopter, and leg it to safety just as the place blows sky high.

The Battle is won (hurrah!) but the war continues, at least as long as sequel-writers need to earn a crust.

best Pixar movies since The Incredibles, original, slightly dark, more for adults than kids so not that perfect balance, but well worth it
