Django Unchained

Another of Tarantino’s usual bloodthirsty efforts. I’m a bit “meh” about this one after the first viewing, so will have to watch it again. Plus, while the word “nigger” may have been used in context in this film, hearing it every ten seconds (or thereabouts!) gets a bit yawnsome after a while. Someone needs to tell Tarantino to dial his fanboy geek side back a bit!

Watched ‘ The Divide ‘ well worth a watch a group of people trapped in a basement during and after an Nuclear attack. very dark but shows human nature as it would be I think.

Friday night ‘ Rolling thunder 1977 William Devane and Tommy Lee Jones ‘ not bad for a 70’s film then last night ‘ The Magnificent 11 Robert Vaughn, Sean Pertwee,Keith Allen, Phillip Rhys ‘ not a bad bit of fun.

Catch 22 – Alan Arkin/Orson Wells and other notables great film a classic if ever there was one Sunday, Call Northside 777 – James Stewart last night then this afternoon Yellowbeard – Graham Chapman,Eric Idle,John Cleese,Marty Feldman,Nigel Planer not so funny second time round just in parts.

Antonio Banderas reprises his feline vigilante in this great Shrek spin-off. This time, he goes after the mythical magic beans with Humpty Dumpty in the hopes of grabbing a fortune, thankfully without a talking donkey in tow!

World War Z
Zombie apocalypse with Brad Pitt.
Loved this movie 2 Hours of the world going to pot,though the AN12/C-130 mash up grated when on screen 8/10

Giant killer worms lay siege to an American desert town, and they’re VERY hungry! Great fun!

We’re the Millers
A veteran pot dealer creates a fake family as part of his plan to move a huge shipment of weed into the U.S. from Mexico.
Absolutely hilarious 8/10

Evil Dead
Five friends head to a remote cabin, where the discovery of a Book of the Dead leads them to unwittingly summon up demons living in the nearby woods. The evil presence possesses them until only one is left to fight for survival.
Quite good compared to the original 7/10

Kick Ass 2
The costumed high-school hero Kick-Ass joins with a group of normal citizens who have been inspired to fight crime in costume. Meanwhile, the Red Mist plots an act of revenge that will affect everyone Kick-Ass knows.
If you liked the first you’ll love this, i did 8/10

Rambo

Everyone’s favourite Vietnam vet goes into Burma to rescue some missionaries captured by the local militia. Chaos and carnage ensues from the word go. Love it.

Mud — a very good film.

Also White House Down is one I’m awaiting, though will be very much similar to Olympus Has Fallen.

Tony both of them are on my to watch list as is Prometheus I am trying to get hold of the extended edition/Directors cur if there is one ? I even ignored it when it was on Sky so I could enjoy when the d/c comes out. Another one is the last Couple of Batman’s but you still can’t beet some of the oldies the film before Dark Tide was Kirk Douglas in The brotherhood a lot better than Dark Tide.

Cool, also got Oblivion too, all on blue Ray as I got my new TV and surround DVD 🙂 seen Prometheus on Sky, didn’t realise there was an extended version, will keep a look out for that.

The Star Trek follows on from the last one that was cracking, it also has little plays and ties in with the series which I found rather clever, you will enjoy it. Effects are as normal stunning..

Latest Star Trek, loved it.. Prior to that Olympus has fallen, a cracking good baddy and a Die hard type film, enjoyed that too.
