There has been plenty of flak thrown at any politician accepting freebies and “expenses”, Farage is no different, plus it would appear that the the European Commission has him in their sights, the BBC merely reported the fact.

Having stuck his head above the parapet, he is going to get shot at, it is down to him to keep his accounts and activities squeaky clean, or is he supposed to be free from scrutiny?

He’s well lined up in the BBC’s sights so he’ll have to watch his back!!;)

No myths to explode. A statement of fact, that’s all, and one which I doubt Labour are comfortable with.

Of the general elections since 1945 only two results would changed significantly if the Scottish Labour MP contingent had been removed.
In 1964 a narrow Labour majority would have been a narrow Conservative one and in Feb 1974 a Labour minority would have turned into a Conservative minority.
In 2010, a Conservative majority would have resulted rather than a minority administration requiring a coalition.

All other election results would have been the same.

If Scotland gain independence the most significant aspect, politically, will be the 58 MPs Labour will lose. I have in no way written off the likelihood of single party government in the future, with or without Scotland.

Indeed, I note that Labour are pushing for the vote at age 16 now. Wonder why?

More European legislation decimating English traditions – the word about these parts is that UKIP bitterly regrets not making this a key election issue in the Newark by-election – who knows how many more votes they might have secured if they had?

I hear tell that mass protest may be held at ‘Newark Racecourse’!

Just a thought but, if/when Scotland achieves independence where does that leave Ukip? After all, the UK will no longer be the UK so what happens to a group declaring itself to be the UK Independence Party…?

Whilst Ukip voters still seem to have tunnel vision other voters are abandoning their beliefs to prevent Farage from marching his jackboot loons up Whitehall.
Yesterday I listened to vox pops on R5, with many questioned voters claiming to have voted Tory to prevent Ukip from getting in – maybe that is where all the Liberal vote went, but I doubt it. There were moans about Ukip being essentially a one trick pony and others saying that they are splitting and diluting the vote. Even from those who admitted voting Ukip (the ‘I’m not racist but…’ brigade) there were a few who asked what their other policies were…

So, if you have any mates, bribe them or lean on them for their vote. If everyone does that we’ll get what we all want !

But to be on the safe side just make sure your mates are sheep, not foreign or coloured, happy to vote for a party that can’t tell you what it’s policies are yet, they believe in fairy tales, and – most importantly -are content to side with loud mouthed racist bigots. Does that describe your friends, John?

So the ONLY slim chance of changing our relationship with the EU is with the Conservatives – on their own without Liberal baggage.

And the chances of achieving a one party government in the foreseeable future is slim, so unless there are coalitions things won’t happen and even then we could end up like Italy used to be – lots of squabbling in parliament with little happening, and elections every six months.

As you suggest constitutionally the only way any member can take any action to change their terms of membership is to invoke Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty giving notice to terminate their membership or to negotiate changes to the terms of their membership.

Unless you inhabit that ever populous land of the cloud cuckoos you will accept that the chances of UKIP achieving an overall majority is slightly less than an asteroid colliding with the earth.

So the ONLY slim chance of changing our relationship with the EU is with the Conservatives – on their own without Liberal baggage. In any case there is no guarantee that there would be a referendum majority to leave. Recent polling suggests a majority against leaving.

So, you too believe in Santa. None of the parties will provide a referendum FOR WITHDRAWAL. The only way is a unilateral declaration of withdrawal via an abrogation of treaty by, of course UKIP. They are the only party we can trust on this matter because they have ‘form’. They were founded for that very purpose.
